Phau raises to 35000 bunch of callers gets back to Hellmuth and he makes a ridiculous reraise to 650000. Anyone who watches Hellmuth knows he can only have one hand here. Phau calls with pocket KK and doubles Hellmuth up and just like that Hellmuth is the chip leader.

Hellmuth Just Calls

When we reached Table 411, the board read . Phil Hellmuth led out for 50,000, and Paul Phua raised to 150,000. Hellmuth thought for thirty seconds or so, then called.

The river was the , and Hellmuth checked. Phua thought for no more than fifteen seconds, then fired 475,000.

"Call!" Hellmuth exclaimed, the second the chips hit the felt.

Phua tabled for sixes full of queens, but Hellmuth had him beat with for queens full of aces.

"What...?" Rick Salomon blurted.

The table was shocked that Hellmuth just called, and some players began needling him.

"What were you afraid of?" Chamath Palihapitiya asked.

"Yeah," Salomon added. "There's no one at this table that doesn't get it in there."

"There's no one else at this table named Phil Hellmuth," Hellmuth shot back.

"There's also no one else that catches cards like you," Mike Sexton jabbed.

The conversation continued when we left, and while Phua is down to 475,000 chips, Hellmuth is up to 7.1 million.

I remember that one. The hand he busted Phil on he told him he didn't look at his cards and move all in and got Phil to call him with AJ. Tony flip over AK and said of course I looked.

Gruissem Cracks Hellmuth's Aces

Phil Hellmuth raised under the gun to 330,000 and Philipp Gruissem defended his big blind.

The flop came down and both players checked. The turn was the and Hellmuth bet 325,000. Gruissem raised it up to 850,000 and Hellmuth snap-called.

The river was the and Gruissem fired out 1,700,000. Hellmuth was not happy, but after tanking for a while he made the call showing . Gruissem had and his flush took down this big pot! Hellmuth was steaming again as his pocket aces got cracked while Gruissem jumps up on the leader board.
