#7Betonline Poker
Can't really complain about BetOnline since I am a player from the US. Its nice to have it as another place to play. They have a different freeroll that starts every hour with prize pools that vary in sizes of $10, $25, $40, $50, $75, $100, and $200.
That being said, the betonline poker client could use alot of improvements. A while back when its was mentioned in a thread here in the poker forum that betonline was offering poker to its players, a few sbr members affiliated in some way to betonline said that betonline had intentions of improving the poker software.
Hopefully this is still the case or in the works, but its been a while and no improvements have been made that would make betonline poker a better, user friendly, and more enjoyable place to play.
I find the retro skin to be a little better than the default modern skin. But neither are really user friendly and the quirks or bugginess they bring to the table degrade the playing experience. Once you learn these issues the software has you get use to playing with it.
I would definitely recommend checking it out, just don't expect the industry standard set by sites like stars, tilt, and bodog.Comment -

It's more of a suggestions for improvements where it seems your thread is more along the lines of asking what players think of BetOnline Poker the way it is now. My plan was as a sort of open letter to BetOnline about their Poker Room and what we would like to see to improve it.
If you are wanting this thread to be a form of Suggestions and Improvement Thread then the mods can move it. I have no problem with that. I was typing the thread out and since it took a while I didn't see your request to keep it in a single place until after I submitted the post.Comment -

#13I wanted to start a thread where SBR members that play poker at BetOnline can make suggestions on ways BetOnline can improve their Poker Room. Alex from BetOnline is on the SBR forums frequently and will view this thread. The hope is that this thread will be a voice to BetOnline players to voice their concerns and to make suggestions on improving the BetOnline Poker Room.
Suggestions can be for anything that you would like to see BetOnline do to improve the Poker Room. It can be software improvements, promotional idea's, or anything that you would like to see at BetOnline and think it would help their Poker Room. Since BetOnline has only offered the Poker Room for 2 months, there are somethings that need improved on, but overall I think they have a solid foundation and could really grow this room.
I'll go ahead and start with some of the suggestions I would like to see and I hope that others will follow:
-Auto Top Up feature added to the Cash Game software. It would be nice if we could set an option where we wouldn't have to worry about rebuying when our stack got below a specific amount. The amount should vary and be able to be set by each individual player.
-Better Frequent Player Reward system/VIP system. I would like to see an improved Frequent Player Reward system that rewards the frequent players. Currently you earn POP Points that can be used to buy into select tournaments. They should have better options to use the POP Points for all Guaranteed Tournaments, or even better, for a Points to Cash Exchange. Whatever they decide, I feel a better VIP system is needed.
-Larger Buy-in MTT's. Currently most of the Guaranteed Tournaments that I see have buy-ins from $.10-$5. There are definitely larger Buy-in tournaments, but the majority of them seem to be under $5 or atleast under $10. I would like to see a few tournaments a day offered between $5-$20 and larger ones on the weekends.
-Software Freezes/Disconnects. I'm sure those that have played at BetOnline already have experienced the Software Freezes or Disconnects. I will say that these issues have gotten much, much better over the last 2-3 weeks and haven't affected my play very often in the last few weeks, but they are still occurring far to frequently. This needs to be addressed ASAP.
-100% Deposit Bonus and Frequent Reload Bonus. I like the option of the 25% Instant Bonus in "Promo Bucks" for players that play Tournaments. For players that mainly play Cash Games though, there isn't a good bonus that would entice them to sign up. There should be a 100% Deposit Bonus or some type of sign up/deposit Bonus where players earn actual cash. Even if BetOnline gave the user the choice between the 25% Instant Bonus and another option. There should be some kind of Bonus offered that Cash Game players would benefite from.
-Preferred Seat option that is set to save for all new tables that are opened. Currently you can set which seat you would like to sit at, but I would like the ability to set that option where I was automatically sat in that seat each time I sat at a table.
-A way to remember the window layout and sizes. Most Poker clients remember how you had the windows sized and where they were positioned from one session to the next. It would be great to size and position the windows where I want them and have the software remember this layout for all future sessions.
I'm sure I will have a lot more suggestions and I hope that the SBR members that play at BetOnline will participate in this thread so we can try to get BetOnline to improve their Poker Room from the suggestions we've made here.Comment -

#14How a freeplay is suppose to work, the freeplay is wagered first. Any wagers won from the freeplay are then credited to your cash balance, WINNINGS only. Lose your wager you win nothing but you have lost nothing either hence the term freeplay. Any monies deducted from your freeplay balance used to make your wagers spent win or lose you don't get those back. This being the standard definition of a freeplay at all sportsbooks that offer its sportsbetting players freeplay bonuses.
Once you have a cash balance that resulted from freeplay winnings, you now have a rollover requirement you must meet on the money won from your freeplay wagers. If you take those winnings to the poker tables you must meet the rake requirement set by the book that you purchased the freeplay for. This being the reason why freeplays are so much cheaper than sportsbookcash in the SBRstore.
Sportsbookcash bought in the SBRstore is added to your cash balance at your book. You must meet a rollover requirement on this money added directly to your cash balance. This rollover is alot less than the freeplay rollover requirement. Does betonline say this rollover requirement can be met by earning rake at the poker tables?Comment -

#15I forgot to add a suggestion that I think is very important:
Show mucked hands at showdown. Most sites show the mucked hands during showdown regardless of whether the player mucked the hand because he lost or not. This is definitely something I would like to see BetOnline do with their HH's.
@gamemastere-I asked about how the freeplay rollover was figured by BetOnline but I've still not received a response. I'll try to get an answer again because this is important to me as well.
If you receive an answer on this, please update this thread. Thanks!Comment -

#17Since I am from the USA sportbookcash and freeplays are not available for me to purchase in the SBRstore. In another thread alex here said betonline was cool with US players receiving sportbookcash and freeplays through the SBRstore. SBR is the hold up.
I have cashed in some small buyin tourneys and also the poker freerolls that betonline host hourly. But I have lost most those winnings in the betonline sportsbook.Comment -

Already 2-3 other threads here in the poker forum that have died that have contained just a few post about needed improvements and all the other post containing subject matter that has nothing to do with improvements.
So when I get time to do some screenshot I will start posting in the other thread you created grind4moneyz and if alex could follow there that would be cool.

#19Also alex this promo betonline txt'd me about this morning that is being offered untill tomorrow evening,
deposit $100 receive $100 freeplay, when deposit is made by westernu or moneyg
Any money won from the freeplay wagers would then require a rollover to be met, could this rollover be satisfied by meeting a rake requirement on the cash tables in the betonline poker client?
And also wat is betonlines rollover requirement on this $100 freeplay?Comment -

Rake in the Poker Room should definitely count towards the Freeplay, IMO. This is another way to cross promote your products and if Rake doesn't count towards the rollover, players are less likely to play in the Poker Room. The point is to get the players to play more, right? So why would you not want to count this towards the rollover and entice the Sportsbettors to try out one of your other Products that they may not otherwise be willing to try.Comment -

#22My main concern is that they're on the Action Poker Network, which is insolvent. Action continues to operate by slow/no-paying customers.
They claim to be on the Hero Poker Network but they have the same traffic as Action. They also have a different version of the software and take US customers.Comment -

#25You call an open shove for 150 BB's with AKs? You're barely ahead of pocket 2's and 65/45 dog to KK, chopping with AK, basically drawing dead against AA. I don't play full ring but I would think the majority of the time villain is showing up there with many more value hands then bluffs.Comment
