    SBR HEADS UP Championship.
Alright so we all like to claim we're the best here at SBR. We try to prove it everyday by placing in big fields of players in SBR tournaments, only to have random bad beats take us out while the donk who called gets chip lead to take it down. (See 4uk4life)

Boys I suggest a true test. We do not have Sit N Go's anymore , but we do have the option of sitting in a lone ring table 2 at a time to play some heads up. Let's make a heads up challenge. Treat it like the Monthly leader board challenge.

The rules as I propose them.

1)50 points entry. Min 10 people entry or else it all gets refunded.
2)Double elimination, just so luck is taken out of it.
    3)Only top 2 get paid.
4)Each player will sit down with 100 SBR points taken from the pool.
(shipped 1 hour prior to play)
Winner will ship the remaining points minus rake after the match to banker. I will cover
the rake out of my own personal points to make sure we stay with a good prize.

I say we start June 1st, to give people time to register. I also suggest we do not allow anyone on the current stiff points sheet to play as we will be trusting them with 100 points. Because of this you must also be a SBR Pro. I do not want to be Banker. My suggestions would be Downsouth, Thaddeus, or Beerdog.

SBR will never do a heads up challenge unfortunately. Remember there goal is to post big numbers of participants to show the sponsors that they have interest/make it worth while for their ad money.
I'm open to suggestion on entry fee's. bracket sizes etc. I just want to see this happen.

Small problem that I see is that the blinds do not go up on the ring table.

While I am not a good heads up player, I have no concerns with donating 50 points to this fun event.

Thanks Downsouth, DS or Thad would be a better banker than I right now.

          Cheers

That seems to be the problem at the moment, how to handle the lack of blind increases. Guess we're going to have to wait for SBR to get a clue & do something like this.

Brilliant idea, let's convince SBR to put 64 man heads up tourney, similar to National Heads-Up Poker Championship.

Easy solution. Bring back SNG and play the heads up there.

                                  Great idea count me in.
Suggestions mirror others re blinds. Also you really want tourney stacks, like $2000.

This will help the variance prob better than double elimination and $100 stacks.

SBR has enough going on with the WSOP event. It's a nice idea, but might not happen any time soon. I'd throw my name in the tournament if we do have one.

It would just be an all in fest if you open to the public. If you keep it between the few poker advocates you might actually get decent play. A2 first hand....alllll innnnnnnn

The tourneys take too long (2hr) to win (500)

I would rather have been fanning sheets with my woman.
