live game vs. on line games
i have to admit it, on line poker is very convinent, for most of us, but , i belive that nothing compares to the live game at the nearst casino or a friendly among friends/
the game in my oppinion changes a lot and because you can see the player, there is a lot more information avilable to make the proper desicion,
if i have to comparethe hourly rate that i have manage to account, live games are the way to go.
on line i can probaly make .05 per hour on the last 12 months , if that, but when i m at the casino my rate is about 40 per hour to 120 HOURS.
    I only have 4 trips this year 3 profitables 1 a loss.

All live play is at most card rooms is a bunch of players playing over their bank roll in games they have no business really being in. Your typical $10nl ring game on tilt or stars is often comparable to the play you'll see at 1/2nl live and in many cases the play live is much worse because people are looking for action.

in my view 1 2 live is comparable to .5 .10 cents on line or even .10 .25
but if you are patient is a lot of money to be made in a live casino game in my oppinion

Personally, I see little difference from anything online below .25/.50 and .50/1 other than the # of solid players per table starts to go up. I see the same amount of calling stations, bad beats, cold decks, setups... etc....) Also, there was a point raised by another poster that I thought rang true was that the overall # of solid players have gone up at all levels in online poker and therefore there is more an element of bingo poker (i.e. you only get paid off with cold deck hands and it is bingo!).

As you point out, live 1-2nl seems to have more action and therefore more potential for more money to made if you hit your hands and-or they hold....

          Cheers.

I greatly prefer casino poker to online poker. On a per/hour basis online is better for making money than live, but I find it much easier to put in hours live. The social aspect makes the live game much easier to grind... at least it makes it that way for me.

Losta bad players mixed in with a few good players at your average hole in the wall casino. I recently had an experience of talking to two guys who were on a waiting list for a spread limit game and one guy was using the payout table of a video poker machine to show the other guy what hands are good etc.

I'm not a good player, but I'll play with those types anyday
