What you need to do is start standing up to people who try to bully you with raises. If someone raises you, push all in to show them you mean business. They'll prolly fold and you'll win more hands for sure.

it is sick what happens to many of us that undertand the game .............it is not possible to protect your hand and if you had outs, you do not make it, 7 out of 10, but if your odds are against for sure they will hit even at 10 to 1.
so many bad beats, so many stright on the river just to be call by full houses, or even if you floped, the callers eill call and hit.
I belive that it will not be part of my life for much longer
I m ready to trow the towel any time now.
Just go to the ocational casino trp where the will think twice to call on a draw, for 50 or 100 dollars.
Good luck to all and good day

Just never stop learning, don't get stuck in your ways. Always learn and adapt. If you have that mind set you'll consistently get better and beat the games.

Sinmiedo you are a losing player who is not approaching poker properly. There is no shame in this. Just commit to learning how to play so that you can become a winning player which is possible with hard work and dedication. Start over from the beginning realize what you know about poker is wrong and start hanging around/studying at 2+2 but ignore the bullshit that is spewed there.

              Good luck.

Mr Market has pretty good advice. If you are a losing poker player at Bodog, that should tell you its time to make some strategic changes. Those are among the softest games on the internet.

dont give up. just lower your stakes and try to figure out what is missing in your game. if you keep getting bad beats try to avoid big pots and reraise big if you know they are drawing.

i will follow all the advices, but at the low stakes it is almost impossible to protect a hand.

Protecting a hand is an erroneous concept. There are times to do it but you want to be maximizing EV with every decision.

Maybe if you were playing live this wouldn't be horrible advice... but he's not talking about live.

Giving your opponent the wrong odds to draw is the best way to "protect your hand". I don't know when that started meaning "If you have AK, you have to try to take down the pot"
Walter forgot... when you're desperate's when you got no choice.

some times when i have some money i take the risk and seat at the biger stakes tables.
there i do very well, the problem is that since my stack is always the smaller one, even with good hands i get call because i can not re raise many times.
for the time been i m concentrating in tournaments and seat and goes where i do a lot better than the tables.
