Staring at the cashier at carbon poker
im either gonna hit withdraw on 1 k or leave it in and try for big money. Deposited 25 and went on a tear , couldn't lose. Didnt matter what hands i had or what i did. Won 7 of my last 8,sng and got a 5th, 4th, 3rd, 2nd, 1st 1st in my six tourneys ranging from 5 to ten bucks.

I could just do like i do here and go into their casino and get the big bucks and pay off this 5 k debt i have on a bank of america credit card that ive never paid a dime on. Or if ido like i do here, i will lose it all. Not sure yet, Ive almost clicked cash out ten times. If it was 2 pm i would of pressed cash out by now.

I'll let SBR decide. Im sure if you read this 4 or 5 hours after its posted it will all be gone one way or another.

Take it out man. Greed will get you every time. Though I know I wouldn't take it out and it's easier to say it someone else than to do it.

If you don't take it out now do yourself a favor and go by a gun this morning and some shells ,, load it set on your computer stand and then when you give it back to carbon poker which is inevitable if you choose this route,, grab that gun and shoot yourself right between the fukkin eyes cause that is how stupid you will feel

A pretty good idea. I also recommend cashing out to an eWallet, as its four times faster than a check.

Thank him if you've done this. if you haven't, do it. I'd say $100 fine too and may feel more fun to play with. Making $900 and having $100 to mess around with with only a $25 investment is great. losing it all in a casino that's designed to take money from people just like you...is the opposite of great.

What is this BRM? I can't imagine why you'd recommend leaving 50 bucks in the account. Isn't it obvious that if this guy doesn't pull it all out now, he's gonna lose it all? Why give away 50 bucks?

Poor fella, if he had to ask he most likely lost it all. Consider how long you worked to win the money; you didn't magically win it, you earned it.

BRM = bankroll management. He ran up his initial stake by gambling and practicing no form of bankroll management. If he continued to play at the stakes he was his risk of ruin was very high.

$50 dollars is 20 buyins at 2NL ($0.01/0.02) which is the heuristic for proper BRM. There are more specific calculations but without knowing his winrate (and if it's even positive), STD deviation or risk tolerance I cannot calculate them. $50 dollars is enough to learn how to play winning poker in no limit cash games.

Actually, I should have recommended he keep around $150 in his account. $50 for his roll, $50 for pokertracker micro, and $50 for Getting Started In hold'em, Harrington on cash game set and Theory of poker.

ive been in that similar situation so many times. it only took me about 2 or 3 times to learn my lesson and some somewhat decent br management. im sure everyone goes through the same thought process after their first decent score.

Try an eWallet cashout if you can. Friday I did a Click2pay cashout from Carbon and it was processed instantly, and available in my Click2pay account.
