200 Point Giveaway (PROS ONLY) Expires 10 EST 4/20
This is a SCOOP PA tournament

    75/150 level

8-10kish stacks (3rd level, about all average starting stacks)

9 handed (everyone else folds besides these players)

    UTG 375

    UTG +1 1500

    HJ 3750

    Button shoves 8000

    UTG folds

Will split the 200 if multiple players guess correctly (1 guess per player)

So we need to know action for:

UTG +1 (if he stays name his hand), HJ (same if he stays name his hand), Button (we know he is all in so name his hand)

    Example answer

UTG 1 goes all in and has kings
    HJ folds
Button has Ace King (we know he is all in or just say he wins if you think the other 2 players fold)

You have about 24 hours GL

      HJ = AA
      Button = AK
      UTG + 1 = QQ

...I think UTG should be folding JJ or less.
      ...HJ is likely pot-committed.
Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?

This sub forum really is dead.

Anyways, I will reopen this back up until 10 with more information.

Arunsh and Chucky can take another shot.

UTG +1, I am readless on him.

HJ is a Reg. I don’t play many tournaments on stars, but he seems to be in every one. Nothing special, but decent.

Button has screwed up 2 hands prior IMO (over roughly 20 minutes of me being on his left).

Maybe this will help some. About 7 hours left.

Assuming my first guess is wrong, I would say

          UTG+1 folds
          HJ calls and has Aces
          Button has Jacks

Really felt like this was a spot that KK could have been folded. HJ made it pretty obvious IMO.

                    Thanks for the contest!

HJ did kind of give away that he has aces because of the small size of his 4bet. The button's shove represents anything strong that he doesn't want to fold: AA-QQ or maybe AK.

I hope you did well in the tournament.

Good contest, Trin. You're right. Pre-flop read is a great skill.

I've seen QQ/KK folded pre-flop, and those guys were right. Anyone holding JJ vs multiple raises should feel like he's beat.

Nah busted about ten from the money. I got a small cash in the other I played Saturday night.

I think the HJ shoving is a better play IMO. He had around 8500, unlikely UTG plus 1 is ever folding against one other player when he could come right back in with the same stack (if everyone else folds which would happen 99 percent of the time). UTG plus 1 3 betting is pretty much always a huge hand and then he gets a small 4 bet from a grinder, that is always AA. The shove looks a hell of a lot less like aces, even though anything he does will look strong.

                          Good stuff, Trin.

I used to watch a lot of classic hand videos. Remeber the LiveAtBike hand, where Alex called down w/ JJ on an AK-board vs Polk?

Polk said that it was a terrible call-down. But Alex knows that Polk plays wide as the Grand Canyon.

                            No I didnt see it.

The way the hand played out I'm sure Polk had him on jj or qq exactly though and alex probably knew that Polk had him figured for that and why he called down light (expected to be bluffed essentially).

Definitely think that players with history may have folded the KK in that spot against that HJ with that action. If I had the aces in that spot, I would have just shipped it. Like I said before everything the HJ did would look strong but shipping it would have gotten action for sure IMO.

It kind of reminded me of a live satellite spot years ago I had blind v blind.

Details are a bit fuzzy but I had basically a seat locked up (I want to say like 80-100 big blinds and everyone else was on like 10 bbs give or take). Anyways the small blind, older guy who plays a lot of tournaments (would come for the morning one, play cash to the night one, leave when he busted) had like 7 bbs and min raised from the small blind. I had 66 and thought it looked pretty strong but eventually put it in and he had AA. I didnt tell him but that was the only thing he could have done that made me hesitate at all. He limps or shoves, I would have beat him in.
