Good try - sorry it didn't work out. But tournaments are like that obviously, most of the time you will bust. Gotta run well with the cards and/or the flips, and you didn't this time. There will be others though! Obviously sucks to run badly though in your only (I think?) WSOP event of the year - I know all too well the feeling of running bad when you happen to be "taking a shot". Poker can be a very cruel game!

It was a shame that all my pocket pairs couldn’t win later in the tournament. Of course in the first 4 hours of play, I hit 4 sets. Used up all my luck early.

Wow, four sets in four hours? That's pretty crazy! I've played some nearly all day cash game sessions where I didn't hit a single set. One per hour, yeah that's running pretty hot.

But yes, I know what you mean about using up all the luck early. I often think that during SBR tourneys when I pick up AA early of how much better it would be to pick it up later in the tourney where even if you don't get any action, you are at least going to pick up some much more valuable blinds than you will early on.

As for baseball, afraid someone else will have to provide - that's one sport that I do not touch based on my rather awful record with it in past years!

padres rockies over probably solid, 1st 2 games of series both went over 20 runs

We go hand for hand for the last 6 hands. I can make to the next day at 19.5K but on the 2nd to last hand I get 99 and shove trying to accumulate something for tomorrow. AK calls me and flops a K. And out I go.

So busto it is for me. A fun experience...but I wish the coin flips would have worked out late for me.

Time to go to the hotel and drink some beers.

Great thread bro! It is why I don't play poker for money. You can play as HARD as you fukin can,

but in the end, it will be luck that either donks you out, or gets you into the money!

(Or even 1st place if you get the most donk luck!)
