Upset with the Wynn & question about Rio LV

1) The last several years the Wynn has held $400 & $500 SURVIVOR tournaments every week during the summer. This year they have no survivor tournaments. I'm REALLY disappointed as I am planning on going to LV for the first time and wanted to play several survivors. For those who don't understand, survivors are generally 1 in 10 people win 10x the entry towards pool. So for $550, 1 in 10 people win $5000. Why would you prefer a survivor? No taxes if under $5000 net.

If you net $5000+ you have to pay taxes and are given a W2, which is BS if you're not a professional. When I final tabled a 3 day $600 event, I was paid $11k. I had to pay the fed over $2000 of that and 5% to connecticut (happened at foxwoods). With 15-20% rake AND 25% to income taxes for top payouts, tournaments are stupid to play unless you truly are a professional gambler.

ABSOLUTELY FUKKING IRATE AT THE WYNN.

2) On a side note, does the Rio have facial recognition? Caesars properties on east coast do not and I want to play the juicy cash games at the WSOP.

Caesars is too broke though. Likely means Las Vegas Sands and/or MGM properties obtained facial recognition which is widely known. Will not fuk with Bellagio or Aria in a million years. Sands and Wynn props I'm okay at.

Still remember walking into the Beau in Biloxi, MS and them fukkers got me within 5 minutes. Had not even entered the casino, was walking in their strip mall store section. MGM no joke, luckily security did not want trouble and let me leave no issue (did not know Beau was owned by them at that time).

What do you mean? It is not their responsibility to handle peoples' taxes. Knowing I was a winner for the year in gambling I told them to withhold the 25%. The wonderful Connecticut additional state income tax sucked though, I think 5%.

The final table was in late 2016. That was the year I won ~20k overall in 2/5 PLO cash games, so I did not want to risk audit claiming losses cause there definitely was more than 11k in poker winnings for me that year. However, I lost like 10-15k in 2017 after getting cocky and getting wrecked in variance at 5/10 PLO. It is wonderful you can not claim gambling losses in future years against previous winning years, more IRS BS.

Not realizing I banned myself from all Caesars properties so I could never play in WSOP now. Was a regular at Borgota for years due to this once I matured until MGM national harbor opened. That pissed me off because if MGM national harbor had never opened I could still play at Borgota. The 2/5 PLO at Borgota I paid for a year of school with. I banned myself when only horseshoe and Maryland live were open so I was extra missed when MGM bought B and said sorry you can’t come to Borgota anymore

Fast forward a year, friend received a trip offer to Biloxi, we had called said MGM national harbor opened am I okay to go, they said yes. I fly down there with him, they grab me say no, leave or face arrest. I have to spend $500 on a hotel and incur expenses. Successfully filed complaint with Maryland gaming division and won small claims case against MGM for $500 incurred costs + $500 punitive.

So yeah, banned from MGM and Caesars properties. The worst is I’ll never be able to play in WSOP. All because I was immature and tilted, irrationally made that decision. Today, 4 years later, I don’t tilt, have matured 10x and would never do that again. Sucks immensely. I still go to Caesars non-MD properties since they don’t have facial recognition and I’ll just get thrown out first time caught, aka Harrahs & Bally’s AC.

The positive is I generally now make gambling a fun traveling experience when I do. Such as visiting 7 countries last year, mainly in Europe.

hmm........ you may need to speak with seeweed..... he's the only other dumbass I've heard of who "banned himself" from something (seeweed/sbr; you somehow banned yourself with mgm/caesars); and seeweed reconsidered, begged to come back, and even offered to post a photograph (now infamous) of himself if sbr would let him come back.....

it worked for seeweed, and he was able to un ban himself.....

Sigh...you got me. I had kept that story as happening in MD cause I still was able to go to Parx until recently. Did not want someone on here informed PA I was getting past the ban. It happened at Sugarhouse, flipped table, banned etc, thus why I am no longer able to play at Parx or other PA casinos.

I had been getting through security in PA past year despite looking young because I brought my passport which they did not scan. Recently, I tried going to Parx to play PLO but when I presented my passport they said hold on I have to go get a scanner for that. Ran out since I would've been arrested if they scanned it.

It really sucks. Self banned from MD, PA now banned for flipping table on a bogus forward motion call. Just want to play PLO. Now I basically can't cause no AC casino has PLO besides Borgota and can't play PA.

The ONLY way I can get around is fake ID (won't do), find someone who looks like me and get a copy of their ID + SSN (ha yeah okay good luck finding someone) OR changing my name (which still cannot get jackpots since your SSN will be the same).

To be honest, the thrill of getting into casinos I should not be in is fun. However unemployed definitely not trying to get arrested in MD, the state I live in and just overall so I’ve followed the bans lately. Not hard getting in though with a passport, as they don’t scan those.

It has been fun being chased out twice, successfully getting away both times...had to hop a wire fence that had fallen somewhat down to get away from the Hollywood casino security though. Cut a hole and ruined my favorite of jeans. ALWAYS watch pitbosses, even poker managers with those little black phones...if you count, ESPECIALLY do so.

If you visit a casino for several days and every time they ask to see ID, then you refuse/decline players card, eventually the eye in sky will zoom in on your ID and search your name too...

As you can see...ride motorcycle, public sex / risky kinks, entering casinos I’m banned from...my addiction is adrenaline. It’ll catch up to me one of these days...

(I got cheated out of $2 grand last football season and didn't find a way to get any of it back!) And you know how the story goes, THEY can cheat you over and over, but if you figure out how to get them back, then they blacklist you!
