*** I'll go for 1000 on the yearly total again,

*** and 1000, only on all promo totals run during the year. (I think there's 3 or 4).
not each one individually, but the sum of pts earned on all promos.

I was surprised Jake only went 1k. I am 5th though, so it's not like last year where you had people who never even appeared on the leaderboard wanting to bet they'd finish #1.

Biter what does your poker schedule look like in 2017?

Can I get odds on Biter taking the top spot

Philly... last few years (since early '14) I've missed major time being hospitalized. This year I've missed over a month (total), altho thankfully I've avoided being admitted to my recent home away from home. So.... it's really hard to say, but for the health uncertainties alone, I wouldn't even bet on myself (some blocks of tourneys I played I wasn't in the best of health). I'm around for the majority, so I play them. Not sure you can miss a whole lot and have a shot @ #1... cuz some don't miss any.

Just so I understand this correctly.... If I bet 1k, it's a straight up bet of myself against Astro for 2017? If so put me in for 1k.

Yes, it's +100 head to head. I'll do the 1k, but since I've never seen you on here before, you have 11 posts in the 6 months you've been a member, and your status says "I'm a stiff" (assuming that's a joke, but still) I will require a post up. Let me know if interested.

It's obviously a joke. I've never taken out a loan to stiff against. One of the first threads I ever visited had multiple people with status calling out someone as a stiff. I don't know you either. So. I won't post up the 1k. I'll just beat you for fun.

Yes, assumed it was a joke. And good luck, I don't really like your chances but we shall see.

I mean +100 for a yearly bet is pretty weak ROI. If you were that confident the odds would be higher. That's not even a good bank interest rate.

I'll be frank. You won't beat me in 2017, and I highly doubt you'll even make the top 15. If you had the points I'd tell you to save them anyway. However, a post up is required because about 33% of my poker bets from last year I won't be getting paid on. Never heard of you, no one can vouch for you, and there is no loan history to go off of.

I probably won't be playing as often this year which is why I only did 1k

going out of the country at least twice, maybe 3 times this year and not sure how often I can play on these vacations, if at all.

Astro, you might want to make certain people post up, like the ones who have not even been here for a year's time.

Jake taking the 5 minute walk to Tijuana to check out the donkey show doesn't really constitute "going out of the country" now does it

haven't been to TJ since prior to 9/11

might go sometime as I've heard it's a little better there now than then but who knows

a buddy of mine's brother lives on the beach there for like $300/month...you could not pay me enough to live there but to each their own

have a few TJ stories from my college days......also prior to 9/11 I can remember coming back into San Diego and having NO ID on me (had left my wallet in the car for fear of getting robbed). Asked me 2 simple questions at the border and I was on my way.....can only imagine how that would go now

my cousin goes there a few times a month, a friend of his lives down there. He has been asking me to come along one of these times and says he feels safe and there are some good restaurants there now. He has not been hassled crossing the border coming or going abd said it didn't take much time. Not sure if I'll end up going anytime soon, we will see.

Jake I'm sure its a lot safer than it was when I was there last.....it was literally like the wild wild west.....if the police would see a bunch of white college kids there, you'd be sure they were getting pulled over and some cash was going to be exchanged.....

that is possible..I would prefer only going during the day until I go again and gauge how safe it is nowadays.

How about if I offer H2H bets at +115 (max bet of 1753, which would pay out 2017).. Not getting much action with +100

not each one individually, but the sum of pts earned on all promos.

As for the second portion, are you saying if there's 3 promos then combined all 3 points for those promos and you want H2H on those? If so I haven't offered that but if I don't get many wanting H2H then I may to get some action.

yes, the second bet is for H2H only on the combined total of all promos run by sbr during the year. It's easy to keep track, as only the final standings of each promo is needed.

I know it's easy to keep track of, just don't know if I want to offer it. Will probably just offer each promo separately.

Alright, about to close 2017 leaderboard bets. Will run it up until the first daily runs on Monday.

Offering +160 if you weren't on the leaderboard in 2016 and +150 if you were.

Max to win is 2000. So max bet for nonleaderboard people is 1250, and for leaderboard people it is 1334
