Rainy day in philly so left work at 10AM to play some cards. Bout an hour in, up about 150-200, I get pocket Kings. 1-2 table, I'm right before button. 2 limp so I raise 15. Button, SB BB fold, both limpers calls. Flop K2 whatever rainbow. 1st up bets 70, 2nd folds, I just call. Turn card not relevant. bout 200 in pot. Guy bets 150. I just call. River card 2!! He has me covered and goes all in (I have 175). You guessed it....quad 2's. Got up, shook his hand, and left. Did i play this right?

He flopped a set and was going all in either way. The only thing you could have hoped for is a bigger raise preflop by you. I raise to 20. But it prob didn't matter

play it like SBR Philly! Shove with those kings and he prob folds the pair of 2's. Unless.... he also is an SBR player, then he calls your shove with those 2's full well knowing he is behind.

Tough beat Philly for sure we have all been there. The gift & the curse of the calling station donks. Perhaps you could have got him to fold the 2's preflop, but if I told you that you flop a set of Kings with a rainbow flop and no straight of course you would take it. after he hits the set on the flop he isn't folding and you suck him in for it all you were a 95.7% favorite to win the hand!

Nothing you can do, shit happens. You both nailed the flop, all the money was going in no matter what anyway. No one is folding a flopped set on a 1-2 table. Case closed.
The thing is, you should know that crap like this happens every damn day. Doesn't mean it's a rigged shithole, although Sugar House is a shithole, its just poker.
