Nice. The 28 people who play online in NJ now have another option.

Very small baby steps, and doesn't address the fundamental problem (the state thinking it has any business regulating this kind of thing)...but a tiny step towards a better outcome nevertheless

Jedi not a party pooper at all. My club is in NJ so while at work I play online every now & then. Zero traffic

You know it, that's what we do around here!

Seriously though, it's mildly encouraging and no doubt a big score for groups who can finally claim something resembling a victory after years of effort. My concern is that without addressing the fundamental reasons why a poker ban is wrong, it won't have much impact.

Ok I respect that, I live here and play everyday online so I am aware of the traffic. No denying its good news for NJ and US poker.
One of the biggest issues here in NJ currently is that most people don't even know we have online poker at all. Having the big names of FTP and starts come back could make a huge difference in marketing the sites and many believe other sits are waiting for Stars to kind of piggy back on their promotion of the game.

They always drag out the sob stories of guys who lost their homes gambling...don't hear much about the guys who lose everything from alcohol daily, but that's probably because booze industry can afford politicians

Dumb politicians and public cant understand its a zero sum game so for every loser with a late mortgage theres another guy putting 50s in a G string. With cigs and alcohol the only winner is the corporations but like you said they got the bankroll to keep Washington quiet. Once Adelson dies it may change but pretty sure he made a deal with satan years ago so nobody hold their breath.
