SBR, we are about to lose one of the great members here. I don't know all the details, but there has got to be a way we keep this great guy. I met him at the past bash and he's definitely a quality person.

Can we have an open discussion on how we can retain Canadian members? Seems we are losing the majority of the (example World Cup).

He is not allowed to renew with his book of choice (Bodog) and that is the reason he is not able to renew his pro membership.

I am in the same boat when my pro membership ends in the fall. :-(

I believe Sin only plays poker on the sites and doesn't do anything with sports betting

To me it's only $100 even if I never bet at all I would I could just scalp it out or clear 5x RO. All you need is like $520 at another book maybe lose $10 in juice and $4 in IB fees getting the sum back to the original book if you don't bust the initial $100 in the first or second hedge bet. The value of the program still exceeds what it costs even with all the clawbacks over the years.

Thank you for all the kind words and support about this issue.
The fact is that i started here at SBR when i discovered back in 2010 that they where doing freeroll at bodog, so I joined, since i was learning and building a bankroll.
Later SBR got the most precious soft and we all have the chance to play day in and day out, and Bodog freeplays that required x amount of points. But when the pro requisite started, i was no longer able to use the account, and started to get other books to renew.
Over the years I had accumulated several but no book offers a poker room like BODOG /BOVADA, and i still play there tournaments asn SNG. I try several of them and was a waste of time and money.
Like it was say here, I only play poker, so my options are very limited. I stay till today because of all the great people at SBR Forum, such a stuff, principals, and the community, but it is the case that a decision to continue for fun or dedicate more time to the real deal.
This is a decision that i had been postponing for years hoping that one day SBR policies may flex, but did not happen.
This is situation that for poker a player in the USA may understand since they cannot play Poker Stars or Full tilt because of location.
SBR has still is a great place to be, and I must respect the rules because without them is chaos, and that is ban from Poker,
I will continue from time to time to post some stuff, or comment, and maybe one day policy chance and allow me and my other Canadians to play again.

the only rooms options when we want to convert points at the store are
Pinnacle ( no poker )
5 dimes ( poker room ) traffic 15 players at best
The greek, Sport interaction ( poker ) no traffic, at best 40 players no activity in sng and very little tournament action.
Just Bet: no poker room
Betdsi and Bookmaker: Poker room with some traffic with low tournament selection and no sng activity, i usually wait 30 minutes for a 6 player tables.
Bodog : poker room with a lot of activity.

Sin is a standup guy and SBR should really re-consider the options Canadians have to go pro. We are losing a great guy and player here. He is the one that got me started here. He will me missed.

I get that those options might not be ideal sin, but seems worth it if you enjoy your time here right? Even if you just place a few bets, or only get to play a few SnGs before withdrawing, the small amount you might lose seems worth it for another year of prodom and participation here right?

Top notch player and well respected here by all. I totally agree with you Sin, this is a prime example of why SBR is losing and not gaining in our poker community. You could give sports betting a shot, plenty of help around here too. And just cash out after you get your Pro status renewed if you're not happy with certain books. You're definitely right about the poker rooms that suck at most of sports books. Good luck bro.

Yes we do this is how I renewed my pro status.

As with sinmiedo I join SBR because of Bodog's promo but haven't seen one here since. SBR really needs to work with Bodog a little more. Bodog Becky has been history for a long time.

I predict sinmiedo will be back if bash is held in Vegas.
