It doesn't matter if there are other players at the table he will sit out and set up another table. It's funny, I think there are others he refuses to play. Dude specializes in opponent selection and I should consider it a compliment, I guess.

Not sure why Homer would avoid you. Homie ranked 10th on annual board, where you were nowhere to be found.

I didn't say he's not a good player. I'm just saying anytime I sit down with him he immediately sits out and runs away.

I will bite and state the obvious, there is a large difference between tourney and ring games. Just because Steve is not listed on your famed leaderboard, does not mean he is not a very good ring game player.

To be honest, isn't what he is doing is what everyone is supposed to do when playing poker. You play whom you can beat

There's a difference, didn't say otherwise. Until there's a cash game leaderboard, I'll go out on a limb & say Homer is just as good as Steve, if not better in both tourney's & cash. To reiterate my initial comment, not sure why Homie would avoid you.
Perhaps Homer figured out it's much quicker & efficient to flip.

yes and no...... some play not only for profit, but to improve their game. playing with the likes of biteme, tripel-d, oafy, and some of the other headhunters with excellent ring game skills generally will improve your game, so long as you are learning from them and the mistakes you make against them. beating up on pansies is indeed the goal if you're in it for the money, but on sbr there is no "real money" at stake compared to what you'd have on the table in a single live 2-5 session at any casino..... Shit, every time I play live I will have, by the end of the night, the monetary equivalent of the point totals at the end of december on the yearly leader board wwaves is constantly raving about.....
when I play in Louisiana, Okl, Vegas, I always prefer playing fish, as in those situations it's all about the profit. At sbr, it's all about the fun and the challenge of beating the best on the site.... it's more about pride than it ever is the meager amount of points, relatively speaking, at stake in the game.

Let's go out on a limb here and say your little-to-no ring game experience means you have little-to-no clue what you're talking about (or perhaps more accurately, "less than usual"). The two don't correlate in both direction obviously, as you've played countless tourneys and still don't have a clue about basic poker concepts...but the no experience, no useful opinion thing is certainly dead on.
I'll save you from replying: yes, we know you placed on a leaderboard and lucked your way into a win on an annual challenge vs me, and yes, we know you're too dense to recognize reality when it's clearly explained to you multiple times...so just go on entertaining us with your idiocy; I'll go out on a limb and say it might be the only thing you've proven you can do well

Apparently that doesn't matter bobbo: I didn't play as much as you did, and (as you claim) people who play more beating those who don't isn't anything special. Sorry buddy, you just buried yourself...funny how often that happens when you open your mouth round here

So how many less tourney's are you claiming, 6 the most? Out of those 6, you're obviously not cashing in all 6 to make up a 2100+ deficit. Especially considering your pathetic cash %.
How is it my problem that you missed tourny's, not caring about the folks who bet on you & the ridicule you received with the loss? Apparently you felt guilty & reimbursed those unfortunate folks who bet on you.

10 missed to be exact, 9 more than you. Certainly not your problem, as participation has been about the only area of poker anyone could say you've dominated. No guilt involved; they knew what they were doing when they wagered, and knew that the best player can't always win...but I don't like letting people lose betting on me when I didn't give it my all. As for ridicule...so far it's only been from you, and considering you spent most of the year destroying any credibility you might have had, I'm finding it difficult to be concerned with your opinions
Don't try to change the subject though; you said people playing more beating those who played less isn't impressive. You played more, and beat people who played less...yet contradicting yourself, you have and continue to claim superiority based on you beating people who aren't playing as much as you. In the real world most of us live in, that makes you a hypocrite AND an idiot

What about beating the majority of those who played just as much & more than me? Of course you failed to mention that.
Only 5 finished ahead of me on big board, considering my cash on 12/31 wasn't included. While you clung to the bottom of board in 15th.

It's unlikely there are many folks out there who missed 0 or 1 dailies, so most of the crowd you're beating played less than you....therefore per you, beating them is no big accomplishment. Pretty simple stuff really. Don't ask me to try to explain the details; these are YOUR whacked-out rules, not mine
