As we all know, there has been a little controversy regarding the selection of finalists for this year (and every year's) World Cup event. Luckily, Triple Dvents (tm) is offering you the chance to assemble your very own poker dream team! Here are the rules:
-Players' salaries will be listed on 8/20 at 3 PM EST. Posters must submit their team no later than 10 AM EST on 8/27.
-Posters may spend up to $10,000 hiring a roster of no more than 4 players.
-No duplicate teams are allowed; the first poster to post a team combination in this thread will be the owner of it (assuming it's a valid team), and any subsequent posters trying to claim that team will be denied (although they may enter another team). The exception is that each combination of players may be played once in each of the two divisions (see below).
-Players will score as follows:
Winning a tournament: 2 points
Second place in a tournament: 1 point
Missing a tournament (not playing for a day): -1 point
Team MVP: 3 points
Most points won throughout tournaments: 3 points
-Posters may comepete in one of two divisions: Big Baller (
) or Broke Dik Fuk (
). The BB division requires a 25 point entry fee to be posted up to this post, while the BDF division requires a 2 point entry fee. When posting your team, you must also post whether you'll be competing in the BB division, the BDF division or both.
-Posters may elect to play different teams in each division or they may play the same team in each division, provided nobody else has done so before them.
-Winning teams are the ones with the most overall points. Prizes will be paid as follows:
BB Division:
Best team performance on any given day (excluding team MVP or "Most Points" awards): 7.5% of prize pool
1st place: 45% of prize pool
2nd place: 20% of prize pool
Last Place: 5% of pool
Tie breaker for all prizes: earliest posted team wins
BDF division:
Same structure as BB divison, but all points awards are paid out at 2 points per day until prize amount paid in full. Alternatively, winners may opt for a 50/50 payment option, receiving 50% of their winnings immediately with the other 50% bet on red in roulette in the SBR casino, receiving the winnings if a red number hits.
All rules will be interpreted and decided by me or a designated representative. As with any TDB contest, point stiffs (posters who have an existing loan which they aren't paying on, as determined by their lender) are excluded from participating. Additional restrictions may apply. Void where prohibited.
