Wouldn't that be miserable for fans in Quebec City and Winnipeg, losing their teams only to see two teams in one city.

Toronto could EASILY support two NHL teams, it's just not going to happen.
The Leafs would never agree to it.Comment -

#4No city should have two teams, whatever sport, far as I'm concerned - share the wealth and more people will be happier.Comment -

Small markets have difficulty supporting any pro team. Would be nice if every city was a cash cow like Toronto.
As much as I hate to admit it (being from Ottawa it's natural), Hogtown could support two teams.Comment -

Practically everything I say gets me a "cool down period" ie restricted to reading, not posting.
Apparently my posts are often considered racist or pornographic by the mods.
A penis being gripped tightly by two pipe wrenches is not what I'd consider "pornographic".
Saying that I find some of the Jews here annoying is not racist.Comment -

#11This would be fun. Then we could see two Toronto teams fail year after year. I like it.Comment -

It was that close.
I hope you enjoyed the Penguins run last year, I seriously doubt they go anywhere this season.
No finals for the Pens this year. Misery loves company.Comment -

Plommer, ya gotta watch what you say around sensitive ears.

You're quite high on the Pens, its understandable but they still aren't mature enough to win the Stanley Cup, recent history shows that the runner up in last seasons Cup finals tends to do poorly the next season, I believe this will be true for the Penguins.
I'm just firing back for your shot at Toronto, but the more I think about it, I understand, after all it is Pittsburgh.
Pittsburgh has the better NHL team at the moment, but there really is no comparison between our two cities that favours Pittsburgh - "the armpit of America".
I have nothing bad to say about Ottawa.
I don't believe in church or religion, Jesus/Mohammed et al are as real as the Easter bunny or Santa Claus to me.Last edited by betplom; 10-21-08, 09:53 PM.Comment -

#16I have no illusions about the Leafs chances for the foreseeable future, I'm very realistic about them.

Bet against the Sens this year. They're a middle-of-the-pack team at best.Comment -

Ottawa tends to be heavily favoured. With the way they are playing I'll avoid them til I see some improvement.
I'm looking forward to Wednesday night, loving the Sharks over Philly, Flyers were completely outplayed/outclassed in San Jose the other night, looking for more of the same tomorrow, I'm getting in early on San Jose -130.Comment -

#22Sens are overpriced.
They're going to split up the top line of Alfie, Heatley and Spezza.
Flyers are the only team without a win. They'll give it their all tomorrow. I wouldn't bet against them in this spot.Comment -

I watched every second of the game in San Jose the other night, Philly totally overmatched.
I doubt being at home will change anything, I've been wrong before, but I still like the Sharks Wednesday, my only play for the day.Comment -

#24It's not that they're "due". It's not the same as a 5 game losing streak. Their win column shows 0. At home searching for their first win. Motivation has to be factored in. Pinnacle has Sharks -125. Fair value would be -110 to -115.Comment
