you might want to up the anty a little more than Millionare, hell it takes a young retiree a few million just to have a decent long life anymore. and there would be nothing left for inheritance. I know people that might make more than 1 million a year, and they buy used cars and live in the same home they did 20 years ago

Being a millionaire today is not what it was 20 years ago, still better than most though.

lmao at these people saying a million isn't enough. I guess you would turn it down if you found out you were getting 5 mill tommorrow
For christ sake, if someone made a thread that said post here for 1 dollar you would sprint to that post for the 1 buck.
You all must already have cash.

Does this mean she'll hire professional care to "watch over" your family members and you can get a real job?

don't compare apples and oranges TT. We didn't say we don't want 5 million dollars. The insinuation is that there are alot more millionares out there than you think. and they won't have much to give in inheritance
but you didn't ask if anyone here had a grandparent or parent with 10,000 points

I think "strawman" is the more apt analogy. Saying a million doesn't go as far as it used to =/= saying you wouldn't take a million if it was handed to you.

But to answer the question of the thread, grandparents on my dad's side are in the low 8 figs/high 7 figs, not sure how much of that will trickle down to me.

Ha. I wish. Mother is a highschool teacher, dad ran a service shop. Still had to borrow money from both two of the past three months. Grandfather owned a tire shop, other grandfather was a salesman. Both sets of great grandparents were farmers. I come from hard workers, but none are wealthy. I've got the hard working part covered lately working two jobs seven days a week, still working on the wealth part.

None in my family until the past few years. On my advice my dad took some retirement funds and bought up 25k worth of lvs stock when it bottomed out at just over a dollar. Sold 90% of it at 44.75 a share. Paid off house and he is set for rest of life.
Don't want anything from him as I made the same investment. As long as he lives comfortably and can enjoy himself I am happy.

Nothing more annoying then kids that get money because there parents I was borderline high school dropout got left back got kicked off baseball and football team 12 grade for being stupid and for the last 4 years I do what I have to do to make money and bust my ass and use my baseball coaches as motivation and proud to say I make 6 figures (low 6) a year and then you got these people bragging about inheritance drives me crazy

Good for your mom. Did you dislocate your shoulder when you put your hand out too fast?
