It's an infraction to give away points?

With an eye on the deadline for cash and fp bonuses, for US players, I thought it would be a nice gesture to give away some points (a few hundred total) to players who were close to qualifying for such a bonus. A way to turn nothing into something.

SBR didn't think so. Removed the post (!), and gave me a warning, suggesting that I was trying to sell points. Just unreal. To NOT want players to qualify for free plays before the deadline... (the thought of selling points - for what exactly!? - never entered my mind, but that's what bobbyfk came up with... lol ).

There is a ton of work that goes in to keeping the integrity of the points system. A lot you never see. It's not a science and there is no rule book for all things. We aren't perfect and we make mistakes.

The most big-boy way to address your concern would have been to send a reply over to Bobby or an admin to ask if there was some misunderstanding or simply complain...instead of dramatized-gather-the-troops, how-dare-you-thread.

I actually think the idea is a good one and it's one of the things we expected when we put a buffer time in there before taking the items off.. Congrats to you for your generosity and innovation.
