Cahill pitched great. Not sure how Vogelsong is SF's "worst pitcher" either. He's been on fire this year.

Cahill is going to be a front-runner for the Cy Young for the next 10 years. Kid just gets it done time and time again...

Cahill could have pitched for 20 innings, and Oakland still would have failed to record a second run.

Vogelsong is considered the Giants 5th starter the only reason he is in there is Zito going down with an injury. He was out of MLB for several years and is trying to make a comeback...Lincecum, Cain, Sanchez and Bumgarner are considered the core group that is young and will be with the Giants for several years.

I am well aware of that, but Vogelsong is much more effective than Sanchez right now.

If we throned someone as more effective than someone else after such a small sample we would be re-writing awards and definitions constantly

Guy, you read into this too much. We all know how Vogs got there. Does he have the worst stats out of the other 4? No. He is making the most out of his opportunity. If he pitches like this, it will be a big decision how Zito is handled. I wish nothing but the best from this Kutztown Alum!
