Been to NM quite a few times, like it tremendously.
Keep in mind..........have a keen liking for gambling, decent weather, Indians, and scenic hiking areas.

last thing i heard from my wife was that the city of albuquerque was going to pay her friend something like $3000 to have a rock yard in her front yard so there wouldn't be any grass and thus use less water. fukk that man. i hate cutting grass as much as the next guy but i want some color up in my crib with trees and shit

Fishy my dad lives down from IOMG in Alamogordo and If you search some old post you can find my opinion on the "Land of Enchantment"
but I will sum it up
Rat Hole
1 of the poorest states in the union
South of Albuquerque 6 months of the year 1 spark at half the state will go up in flames
They just had some HUGE Fire in the Forrest that inn of the mountain gods is near, burned for days
(but on a side note my dad has a nice "business" going during football season would gladly turn it over to the right kind of fellow to run)
Your best bet for retirement is Chile or Spain-Countries that where run for 20+ years by Fascist supported by the CIA have developed a "what me worry attitude" about what the general population does
They are just happy that the records from years of secret police torture haven't gotten out to implicate themselves or other family members
