Lol no. Sure, he does have bettter ball movement on his team, but the reason it looks like he's so open all the time is because of his release, which is the quickest in the league. He gets rid of the ball .3-.5 seconds faster than most other players, which keeps defenders from closing in enough to really contest every shot. It isn't luck that makes him the greatest 3 point shooter ever.

This exactly! As a matter of fact he play's like a granny if you ask me. The guy has some of the slowest most deliberate moves I've ever seen. And then the funny thing is he gets past his defenders with it!
Props to Durant though. There is a lot of things that he does well and makes it look easy. But Allen has a prettier looking release.Comment -

Larry Bird is overrated like every other old NBA-legend except Jordan. NBA is alot tougher and faster today. It takes much more to be dominant. Imagine Lebron James or Durant 20 years ago in a dominant team...they would average 50 pts/gameComment -

Serious question- how old are you? Calling one of the best, if not the best, pure shooters ever overrated is beyond ridiculous. Lebron and Durant wouldn't be able to take it to the rim if they played back then... guys like Bill Lambeir (spelling?) would've eaten them alive. Durant is way too skinny to have been anything more than a jump shooter back then.
Those 3s are "open" because of the release... he gets rid of it before the other players can get their hands in his face. That and a high release point make the shots look more open. I guarantee Durant shoots a lot of "open" 3s as well.
There's a reason Durant is a career 35.7% 3P shooter, and Ray has only had 2 of his 14 seasons below that (35.1 and 35.6). He is unquestionably a better shooter, its not even an argument. And yes, he does have the respect of defenses just like KD does... he's the greatest 3P shooter ever, you think teams aren't worried about him?
