Thanks for cashing us "twanks from Texas" out, Foldie.

.....and, since you called me a crybaby......I think I'll give some points to Patty for breaking it off in your ass!!

mex , as long as you did not lie to your investors, you would be able to do a good fund

sucks that I think I am the only one to make a profit off of this loser, in three funds, so I would love to see someone actually do it correct, could be fun

                Agreed.

I know Rudy bailed on Foldie's fund last time around, now he's a big proponent of Mex's book. If Noser & Rudy are on it.....consider me in.

Sad to see fund closed, was entertaining to watch daily.

Would love to see someone start a new fund...just some advice on future attempts:

                    - make them closed ended, players know they will end in a week, month...ect

                    - stick to the established rules

                    - require a min contrib, 50 points or so...and have 500 or so, eliminates a bunch of small plays

                    - try as a horse/parlay fund....higher risk, reward plays.

Would love to see a sharp poster here start a KY derby futures or tri pool...cover as many possibilities on the trifecta and hope for a windfall

I wouldn't mind giving it a try. I wouldn't really know how to figure out share prices and everything but it's an idea.

                            share price is pretty simple.

Buy in is self-explanatory, and the price fluctuates based on the points in the fund and the number of existing shares.

Okay a few questions and I will get started once I have these answers.

What should I do with the points I have with Thad? I have just about 6,000 points with him and I figure playing with his book is easier with more options and cheaper juice? Convert mine into shares or leave like 1000?

Second, how much should I say to risk for a day? I'm not going all in with every point every day, but what's a safe % to risk? Just going off of what foldy originally intended to do.

If you do a search of the Foldy Funds 1 thread there where several post suggesting how Enog/king/dufus should approach the fund

1-5% of the fund per play would be what I would suggest. You can leave points in Thad's book and use those to cover whatever gets put in the fund (nose candy puts in 150, you cover that with 150 that's in Thad's book, etc.).

Lostache, managing a hedge fund is a stressful job.

I think jester thought he was doing that.
