    Trivia First Question

Who led Bishop Hendricken High School in RI to 4 consecutive state baseball titles?

wow we are down to high school questions on the first question.

    Rocco Baldelli?

Definitely seem to be getting tougher. First one was who was leading the AL east in a strike year then who were the Rockets thinking about drafting instead of Yao.

I remember when I was getting first questions like what a rim is connected to and what a football is made of and now they throw this high school question on me right out of the gates, didn't have a clue

I figured. That's a brutal fukin question for a 10 pointer. You either have to know that Rocco is the biggest ballplayer to come out of RI or live here like I do. High school baseball questions..unreal.

To SBR's credit, they did at least slip into the question RI but still hard one to get if like you said you don't live around that area or have not followed Rocco's career.

I had an easy one today. It was something about Tennis and the other three choices weren't even associated with Tennis. I think one answer was Larry Byrd.

The second question was a lousy tennis question that I missed.

My 2nd question was way easier than the first. My first question was something like "what was the name of the bobblehead that given out on the day of David Well's perfect game?". How are you supposed to know this if you didn't attend the game, and even then, would you even remember that detail about some bobble head, especially after a perfect game was thrown. Well anyway, I luckily guessed "Valentino". The second question was just a common sense question where the question was like "what stat did this 1-A player in 2001 break by gaining 2,120. The options were like, receiving yards(obvious correct answer), touchdowns(no way someone is scoring 2,120 tds), etc.

                                            my 1st question today was.

What injury did Patrick Traverse have in 2006.

I knew the guy played hockey, but thats about it, got it wrong and looked him up. He played for the Worchester Sharks in the AHL.

I wish I could remember my last 5 first questions. I consider myself pretty knowledgeable about sports and they have all been off the wall. Even today's was pretty difficult for a 10 point question:

What year did Derek Jeter win Rookie of the Year?

                                                      1997, 1996,1998, 1995

I guessed 1995. I think the "googlers" are ruining it for everyone. I see some guys who get 125 points every time there is trivia.

The options were like, receiving yards(obvious correct answer), touchdowns(no way someone is scoring 2,120 tds), etc.
everyone has gotten this ?..and its a beanie baby not a bobblehead

got second question I knew it dead center..other than tampa bay..what second nfl team expansion in 1976?

I loved the seahawks that year

And this is what pisses me off too. There doesn't seem to be any sense put into what level a question is. He gets how many innings are in a baseball game and the time before last I got a question that was about 1880's football.

GJ on getting them all right though.

What year did Derek Jeter win Rookie of the Year?

I guessed 1995. I think the "googlers" are ruining it for everyone. I see some guys who get 125 points every time there is trivia.
i still disagree. 20 seconds is not enough time to copy the question, paste it, find a good link (because most won't show the answer just on the search page), find the answer, go back to the trivia and click on said answer and then click submit.

Maybe a few guys are just Hella smart (or really old). It just seems unlikely to me to see guys that have gotten 125 pts the last 5+ trivia times, especially with the obscurity of a lot of the questions.
