"Prize fund might exceed 46K"? How classless are you? You can't even say "we're using the 46K from the dispute to fund a contest", which would actually be honest; you make it sound like 46K is some random amount, knowing full well it isn't and that everyone knows it isn't.

Well, it looks like the key word was could because they just announced that 1st place is $10K and that places 2-6 will walk away with a prize.

I am guessing that theRX told them it would be too obvious of a payoff if the contest were just held for posters of theRX forum. So they came here a few days later with the same lame announcement... I guess this is supposed to look a little less shady.

If I were to win an entry I would not want to have to waste my time actually playing in the tournament, I would rather let my laptop play for me while I spent some time touring Costa Rica.
