This is my 3rd year to see the NCAAs in Houston with the regionals here last year and in 2008. It's no shooter's paradise, but teams can score here. One of the baskets we noticed on Saturday was very tight and had a much worse success rate on it though. Still, the basket was the one the two winners shot on in the 2nd half so they figured it out.

the arena has to be a joke to shoot in. VCU shot bad, UK didn't shoot well, UConn has shot like COMPLETE shit in both games so far and Butler has shot it pretty shitty too. WRITE IT DOWN, WILL BET UNDER IN THIS ARENA FROM NOW ON

I propped UConn +2800 before the tourney started. Almost had a heart attack Sat when I woke up after the start. Still hedged Kentucky 2nd half to win 1K for $270, hedged this too, couldn't get through 10 minutes of this snoozefest.

Definitely tight rims, as tight as the NBA. Weird how in the NCAA the rims are different in a lot of arenas. You would think they would make it so they all have to be the same though I guess it might be impossible when it comes to smaller gyms.

Unders are good when they play in the football stadiums because the shooter's depth perception is thrown off and the rims are brand new. I wish they wouldn't play in these massive arenas anymore but it seems like they will continue to every year.

I posted here on Friday watching the team practice to pound the under because this arena was shit. The rims were tight as hell and it was like playing in a black hole. Terrible court, cavernous arena equals UNDER, UNDER, UNDER. I just wish I would have bet more on it.

Basically everything that hit the rim didn't go in.

You know how they normally talk about the so-called "shooter's touch" and "shooter's roll"? They didn't in the title game, because nothing went in unless it was banked in or a swish, basically. The amount of times balls looked like they might go in, touched the rim, and came out had to be seen to be believed. It often happened 2 or 3 times on the same possession.

It was crazy, this was the first series of the entire march madness played in a non basketball arena.

I think the NCAA and ESPN and CBS would rather look good losing then bad winning. Who remembers the NCAA football championship game I made complaints about the turf being brand new and causing slipping with the players. This was the same thing they want (NCAA) to make sure it looks good on TV, but dont care about the game itself.
