of course it does, risking $110 would win you $110 instead of $100 without vig

      Exactly.

he would last maybe a week betting those overpriced chalks...they just don't win all that much to turn a profit.. everyone should know that by now...i bet koufax against the mets back in 65 at -320/100. i thought that koufax who was 24-2 pitching at home vs the mets who were like 40-110 was a lock... of course he lost 4-3...never did it again...

Unless you can win 100% of your wager for the rest of your life, the Vig will come into play.

Some simple math comparing a -105 line to a -110 line:

Let's look at 1,000 wagers where each wager wins $100 at a win rate of 65%:

          For a -105 line, you will win 65*1000*$100 = $65,000
          and lose 35**1000*-$105 = -$36,750
for a net win of $28,250

          For a -110 line, you will win 65*1000*$100 = $65,000
          and lose 35**1000*-$110 = -$38,500
for a net win of $26,500

As you can see, over the small -105 vig will result in $1,750 more dollars in your pocket over the 1000 wager. This equals $1.75 per $100 wager.
