I bet he goes back to the old one after today. Hit into 3 double plays and went 0-5! striking out 5 times would've been a better day!

apparently his wife had vaginal rejuvenation so he figured he'd try a new bat to go along with his new *mitt*.
he worked it in like a new catcher's mitt......

He hit the ball hard all day and almost hit a home run to straight center... just unlucky today

I hate his guts. I'll be glad when he goes. This is a football town. 40,000 fans in the seats and 3/4 of them couldnt name 15 players on the roster. The city of Stlouis only supports winners. I remember when Busch Stadium would only have 5,000 in the stands back when Torre was the manager. Baseball town my ass.

                  football town?

espn talked during the broadcast about how the city petitioned to make mlb opening day a holiday (aka off from work, school).

that's pretty hardcore baseball fanaticism if you ask me.

Said he got stronger so he started swinging a heavier bat during spring training.

Thought they said he wasn't swinging the new bat this game.

They said he is part owner of the company that makes the bats. Also, they mentioned that he wouldn't blame his quality of hitting on the bat...

No this isn't a joke, that's the conversation you missed.
