honestly, most of it just comes down to following trends and recognizing hot and cold streaks before their over
Miami had a streak of 10 straight games and something like 14 out of 17 where they covered every spread earlier this year. the Bulls are 13-5 ATS since the break. Memphis has been terrific ATS all season. On the flipside, Lakers, Heat and more recently, the knicks have had nasty slumps where they seemingly didn't cover a spread in weeks
if you just anticipate when teams are about to go on a long ATS losing/winning streak, you can consistently hit 60+% of your bets
