barry sanders was in a form of slavery with the nfl... he had absolutely nothing around him with detroit... he ran for his life and was succesfull

Ok guys, some of you make very vaild points. Here's my list for Honorable Mention:

A. Jerry Rice - Without him, his friend Joe wouldn't be on this list.

B. Joe Montana - Speaking of which, the guy was money when it counted.

C. Jim Brown - Never saw him play but those who did say he has no peers.

D. Willie Mays - The Say Hey Kid was as incomparable in the outfield as he was devastating with the stick.

E. Martin Brodeur - Among the giants who have tended the twine, he is the best
