any stations affiliated with the NFL couldn't broadcast and any stations HOPING to be affiliated with the NFL wouldn't broadcast. Any broadcasters who participated would probably be blacklisted.

Therefore the broadcasts would be brutal.

tbs could buy the tv rights, so players will get paid. plus they get to keep tickets, concession, parking, merchandise sales.

i guess in cities where nfl owners own the stadiums, they could play in nearby college stadiums or move to other cities such as los angeles.

no one's forcing them to do it and ya it's tough work but they love it and if they are smart they can retire at and very very early age. Ohhh poor player, retired at 28 or 30 with a couple million in the bank and a pension. Life is over.

I think you'd see a mass exodus to an existing league if players really wanted to get tough.

they won't and can't though for the most part...... fear of being black balled.

NFL owners are very much in control.... they have no problem keeping the gates locked past week 1, week 2, weeka 3. they'll lose alot of money, but they have other business interests and alot of $ in the bank.

the players on the other hand. most of them rely soley on their nfl paycheck. if the owners waited till a few weeks past September. They'll be able to "bargain" for anything they want.

basically you have 31 smart white owners with lots of resources.... going up against 1000 blacks and 500 white football players. And only 100 of them have IQ's over 100.

That is what I'm saying. If you have enough money to own an NFL team you should never be bitching about money EVER. This should be a hobby for them. Jerry Richardson for the Panthers is very very greedy he is the reason all this is happening. He made 52 million profit last season and he is the ring leader of this whole lockout. The guy is very cut throat... he even fired his own son last year.

Don't know how the insurance issue would play out. Would the players want to take the chance of getting a career ending injury while playing in a makeshift league.
