Florida's not good enough to just roll over and beat UCLA or MSU but if they do, they could potentially see Wofford IMO. St Johns is done without Kennedy and Gonzaga just flat out isn't that great.

I agree that UF looks to have an easy bracket but you never know. Have you looked at UNC? How did they get to be a #2 seed? They were 2-4 against RPI top 50.
Florida was 11-3 vs RPI top 50, higher #5 SOS than all the other #2's, plus won the SEC. Kentucky sucked on the road and deserved the #4. UK 9-5 against top 50.
UF also went 8-2 on the road and 4-2 on neutral courts. Also went 13-3 in a conference. Beat KSU at a neutral site (who beat Texas), Xavier in Cincy, FSU in Tally (they beat Duke at home), Moorehead state who's in the tourney, etc. Who would you put in front of UF as a #2?
Here are the 2's with their SOS and RPI. UF is ahead of all the other 2's in SOS and ahead of ND in RPI. Maybe everyone should be questioning ND but UF is a legit #2. Body of work my friends... UK fans should shut the hell up because they lose on all accounts including the sham of a game today buying off the refs...
SOS, RPI
UF 5, 7
ND 20, 8
SDSU 22, 3
UNC 10, 6

Southeast appears to be the weakest but I bet the winner there will play for the title. Watch. I also think the committee looks at story lines. I got this off another forum.
UF's second round opponent will be either UCLA (who Florida took out in both of the national title years 2006-2007) or Michigan State (who beat Florida in the 2000 title game). The Denver pod contains Gonzaga, who famously beat Florida in 1999, and BYU, who took out the Gators last year (and I was hoping I’d never have to see Jimmer again). And the top half of the bracket features Butler, who UF beat in both the second national title run and in 2000 with the help of Mike Miller’s famous last second shot.
RPI's by region...
East - 37.3
West - 37.8
Southwest - 42.4
Southeast - 43.4

overall the East sucks... bottom of Florida's bracket is weak... but so are they...
I honestly think they are setting up the bracket so the Jimmer story has a shot to taking off... trust me "they" want Jimmer in the Elite 8... and what "they" want "they" often get in regards to viewership of the games!

How is FLA a #2 seed??? Kentucky beat them 2 ot of 3, is ranked just a few spots below them, and has been as hot as anybody in the country. Yet UK is a #4 seed and FLA a #2 - C'mon...

Doubt it. Butler is overrated because of last year. They don't play any defense now. And Wisky can't put the ball in the basket against Penn State than they won't be able to against the best team in Pennsylvania.

Agree. Mac's made a solid argument. Those that are critical of FL's seed should try to back up their position as effectively rather than scream "we waz robbed!"

So when did Kenpom become the standard for NCAA bracketing? UNC is #14, Uconn is #17. What's your point?
Here's all I need to know about Kenpom. They have Tenn at 55, Belmont at 18. Yet UT beat Belmont twice and beat VCU, Villanova, Pitt, Memphis.
Vandy beat Belmont and is ranked 32 on Kenpom and beat UNC, Marquette OOC.
Who do you think has the best chance of going deep in the tourney??? Belmont or Vandy, UT or UF??
I love the tourney because unlike football you have to play the games. All I hear is how great the Big East is but every year they lay an egg and don't bring home a title. Even though they get 1/6 of the total field (10+ teams every year) they've won 2 titles in the last 25 years?
The Gators have as many titles in the last 5 years as the Big East has in the last 25. The SEC has as many titles as the Big East and the Big10 combined in that same time frame. The SEC has had limited number of teams get in every year but still win more titles than both the Big East and B10. The SEC whipped up on the Big East this year in OOC matchups, yet the Big East supposedly is the best conference??? If your suppose to be the best then you need to win titles. The Big East is a Big Fail in that regard.
Excuse me if I don't bow down to the east coast media.

In 2003, Florida was the #2 seed playing their 2nd round game in Tampa vs. Michigan State. MSU won 68-46. Tom Izzo pwns Billy Donovan, and we all know Florida is capable of losing to some pretty bad teams (Jacksonville, UCF, South Carolina at home, @ Mississippi State).
