I don't even know what the word "oicks" means. That probably makes me even worse than a square.

Take that Lakers Heat game for example: despite being underdogs, a lot of people still saw Miami as the square pick. They thought the public was sheepishly undervaluing LA and inaccurately believing that Miami was "due" for a win. I'm not saying that dumb belief didn't indeed pull the Laker's line down, but the Heat was still the objectively sharper play and a lot of people missed out on it. That's not even including all the people who thought wagering either side of the game was too square in the first place. And there was plenty of reverse-squarism going on around here before the Super Bowl when a lot of people couldn't wait to cash in on Pittsburgh just because all the guys at work kept talking about how they thought Green Bay would win. I smell squares in the air.
If you are looking around on here trying to find someone to call out for being a sqaure...........................then you are probably the sqare.

here is some help for you those that are square....

what makes you a sqare is taking a certain number on a game. not the actual side that you take. in any given game swares and sharps are on both sides of the game.

a square doesn't mean a guy who bets favs, or parlays or overs. they can still be very sharp..
A square is a guy that says, i love this game and then bets it at any price because he likes it. no such thing here. a sharp is a guy who NEVER bets into the real line. even if he loves it. a sharp is a guy who only bets edges. if he bets into a real line, he's a square. the guys that bet games they love at the real price will all go broke eventually.

Here's a way to judge yourself if you are a square OR a sharp.. Take the test.

in your next 50 bets.. after the games are over.. WIN or LOSE... go to SBR lines and compare all your games to pinny closer. if you are beating the closer on the majority of those games, you are sharp. if not, you are a square. and when i mean beat the closer, i don't mean by 1 cent. if you want a close assumption. if pinny closed at -110/even, you must get -104 or +106. if pinny closed -120/+110, you must get -114 or +116, etc.... if not, you are square and watch out for your money, you will lose it eventually.

even if you go 3-47 in those 50 games, but you are beating the closer on a reg basis, you are SHARP.. and if you go 46-4 and you are always betting into the real line, you are a square. winning or losing has NOTHING to do with being a sharp..
