Statistically, the percentage on any type of game winning/tying shot is going to be extremely low. I would tend to guess the league average is somewhere around 25-35%.
I agree. So when people act like Kobe is some god with last shots, its amusing to me, since he is at/below the league average. Not exactly elite.

Again... the freak syndrome is what gives Lebron his edge... but it doesn't make him great. If anything, his court awareness/passing is unparalelled, but he's incapable of parlaying that into being one of the all time greats because of his jumper, which because of his freakish body, has no finesse and therefore force him to rely on his "freak syndrome" to get buckets (which again... doesn't make him great). Teams know this. He can barrell down the lane with his freak body and score layup after layup after dunk after dunk all day while his teammates wait for a pass or watch him like the circus show that he is, but until the guy can perform in the clutch when it counts, he's just another overrated player... and this doesn't even take into account his sorry ass "Decision" to go play with Wade and Bosh.

He's a great player for the first 45 minutes of the game, after that he might as well take a seat on the bench

I'm pretty sure that Lebrons game tying/winning shot % is within 5% of Kobes.
People can talk about his character and his decisions all they want. But for anyone to talk bad about his game is just stupid.
This was a couple years ago(and only a 5 year sample)...But you can see they are alot closer than most people think.
How many years was Jordan in the league before he even made the finals, was it 6???

It may sound like I'm talking bad about his game, which is obviously worthy of respect, but in all honesty I'm not being biased at all toward his character or decision... I've watched the guy for 8 straight years almost religously and I can honestly say he is overrated. Something's missing... and it always has been. I simply feel he gets way more credit than he deserves.
And Dexter... you're my new best e-friend.

All Lebron does is bulldoze his way through players straight to the rim. He'll get the basket and a biased foul and then the commentators will say 'What strength from Lebron'. Sickening.

Please don't use Chris Mullin and finesse in the same sentence. Great shooter, but he wasn't the smoothest player on court.
what did he do for the cavs? got swept his only finals appearance and quit on his team against the celtics. true the cavs suck without him, but they never won anything with him either.

Kobe is a genius when it comes to the mental game, Lebron should learn a couple things from him. As for raw talent Lebron is the best player in the game no argument.

Let me start by saying I enjoy watching Lebron and think he's the best in the league.

I think he deserves all the credit he gets. He's never won anything in the playoffs, so no one gives him any credit for that.
He's won 2 MVP's, which I believe he deserves since they are based on Regular Season (I can guarantee he'd trade his 2 MVP's in for 2 NBA finals MVP's)
He gets credit for being one of the best in the league, not just because he's a physical freak that just bulldozes his way to the hoop and gets to the FT line. 7 People in the league average 8 or more FT's a game and Lebron is 1 of them. So apparently other people also just bulldoze there way in there (not including howard) How many other people average 7 boards and 7 assists a game? That takes a little more than just God's gift of being a physical beast.
Bottom line his game deserves all the credit and praise that it gets. John Stockton and Karl Malone don't deserve any credit either I'm assuming.

He brought the Orginization a bunch of money and recognition they'd never of seen if it weren't for him. I'd rather have my team make the playoffs, rather than be the team at the bottom of the barrel.

So arron rodgers shouldn't get a lot of hype? There's nothing at all that makes rodgers overrated!
I don't think you know what overrated means.

I love that a bunch of couch potato gambling degenerates think they get to decide if Lebron James is overrated or not. I think the owners and GM's and coaches that went after him with all of their money and might have a pretty good idea of just how good he is and its an indicator that he is not overrated. So i'm gonna side with those that actually know something about basketball over the majority here.

Lebron is actually nothing like Jordan in any way. He is a helluva lot closer the Magic Johnson than he is Jordan in playing style. As far as greatness there is no point in arguing it until his career is over. I remember a few years ago people bashing Kobe Bryant b/c he'd never won a championship without Shaq. Now look at him. Kobe will go down as one of the greatest to ever play. So lets just see, he may end up winning 3-6 rings, who knows.
