I didn't think I'd like it at first but what would people rather have - PT where many were disgruntled about the non-sports/gambling related threads and felt the need to express that displeasure, thus making it more moderated? Or two separate areas so that you know what you're getting into each time you enter that part of the forum?

And beyond it all, other than for those posters who access SBR via SBR Mobile (and yes, I do it many times daily and did it solely for the past month so I know how annoying it is to click on separate forums), doesn't everyone just click "View New Posts" on their computers anyway? This takes away any separation of 'forums' as you see everything all at once.

The Saloon is a work in progress but it really will please everyone in the end and the arguments against it will eventually fade away. Maybe it would help if certain highly prolific posters.... ahem Goldinolocks....would jump on board as well.

It's a solid business decision. If there are advertisers paying for spots in SPORTS-RELATED threads, it is not right (to have their spots in threads about beer, ti-tays, etc.).

For it, it would work a lot better if threads in PT were play related only and everything Off Topic was just put in The Saloon.

I really love seeing threads like "I'm so drunk" "talkin to this girl" "just jerked off my best friend" in players talk. Those all belong in the Saloon, but apparently people don't know that and Moderators don't enforce it. I'd rather have mods move threads into the saloon than have them give infractions for someone calling me a f\*g.

Well, it did for about 36 hours. And it got 0 replies and about 10 views. I know I'm not a go-to poster , but 10 views as it took a day and a half to get off the front page. C'mon ( or 'come on' , but not 'common').

Take traffic from PT where the magic happens. PT generates a great deal of traffic and drives numbers to make Walker's pockets grow. If people are not in touch with their masculine side, they can always refrain from posting or lurking in PT. The more serious sharps don't even post in PT anyhow.

I like that things are getting moved from players talk to the saloon but a lot more should get moved, the useless attention whoring threads mainly. I would much rather see players talk as a privilege for sbr pros and non pros have their own forum.

I think these threads need to stay in PT so they can get out of first page faster and get burried in 2nd page. If you move these threads in The Saloon they would stay there longer in first page.

Doesn't bother me one way or the other. People who get all butt hurt about posts being moved there, etc. are just stupid. I agree too that more posts should be moved there to clean up PT.

Instead of the Saloon though, they should have gone for The LOCK-er Room and put all the dipshits Lock threads in there to really clean up SBR.

Actually pavy they should just send them straight to the private zone to die. Just like rod's latest thread that is going on. It only causes back and forth yacking. Its not hard to tell which threads are pure garbage. Fill the private zone up with lemart, warrior twins, rod, stevek, pattycake threads. Eventually maybe they will just give up.

FTR, IMO the Saloon has its place but be more consistent about the threads moved there. Don't leave food threads in PT while moving gas threads to the Saloon and vice versa.
