Compared to most universities, the marriage rate at BYU is much higher. In 2005, 22% of the student population was married.[1] In 2005, 51% of BYU’s graduating class were married.[4] In the same year, only 3% of Yale’s graduating class were married.[4] And as a national average, 11% of the college class of 2005 were married.[4] The graduating class of 2010 yielded 6147 graduates, 56% of which were married.[5] In addition, these studies failed to account for the many students who were engaged at graduation time. Furthermore, the average age at first marriage at BYU is statistically higher than the national average. In 2005, the average American man married at age 25 while the average American woman married at age 27.[4] However, at BYU, the average age at first marriage is about 22 years old.[4]
culture up there is way different, more then half the graduates married. i could not imagine being married right now.Comment -

#55they know the rules bfore they go there and he broke em, I used to work with a mormon that moved to Utah, he was awesome to work with, crazy when he would say his sister is coming for the weekend, he has 6 kids and his sister 8..........so for the weekend you have 14 kids in the house, unreal but they were always very nice and respecful towards me and never tried to recruit me for the Mormon church. We were always there for each other if one of us needed help with something

#57wow I hadn't heard this.
you might not agree with the rules, but you gotta be impressed by the decision makers at BYU sticking to whatever it is that they believe, even in the face of losing alot of potential $ by making their chances smaller for the tourney among other thingsComment -

#59They know about the Honor Code before they go there...Steve Young said it best when he said they've recruited with that hanging around their necks for years...it's no secret. The kid has no one to blame but himself.Comment -

#65By the way, I'll bet most of his teammates feel absolutely terrible for Brandon. He's their teammate, and that runs deep. And this is different from having your teammate out with a sprained ankle. This is one reason why I'm on the Lobos tonight.Comment -
