Is the NBA All-Star Game A Legit Game ?

Betting on it is really dumb unless you have a fantastic angle since anything can happen and no one really cares about the outcome.

It is an exhibition. Slightly more defense will be played than last night but the key word is slightly.

It's a made for TV sporting event.
Both sides know the other side will not play defense.
I don't know this, but I bet, players from both sides talk to each other before the game. (If you know I mean?)

Nothing, nothing, nothing, can make those guys play to win. I have watched it in over 10+ years. Watched Daytona 500 a few years just to avoid it.

It's more of a show really for the fans to enjoy and for the players to just play for highlights & not worry about defense. If the shots fall, the Over should hit even with Vegas's ridiculously high line. That's the only play for me if I play it lol.

errrrrrr...of course it's not a legit game. The entire game comes down to which team plays better the final 3 minutes. If it a close game down the stretch, they'll tighten up a little bit because team does want to win.

I like the East and over. Lots of familiarity among the East players with LeBron and Wade and all the Celts. Should be enough to score 134 points and guarantee at least a split.

The players on the winning team actually get a cash bonus ($10,000 each I think), so they do try to win and play hard in the last 5-6 minutes.

The majority of the game is just for show though. With both teams (obviously) stacked and no emphasis on effort, I'm not sure how you make a case to bet on it.

As some have said already, it is just made for TV event and that's it. All kidding aside, I'll place a small wager just to keep my interest in the game. I do find it interesting that with the game in LA, you'd think there might be a slight edge to the west if home court does mean anything but again, we know it doesn't. I've always leaned towards the over in this game as it's been fairly successful over the last few years...Good luck
