The Nets and Nuggets have a "tentative agreement" on a trade involving Carmelo Anthony, according to Nets beat writer Al Iannazzone, but New Jersey is waiting for assurance that Melo will sign an extension.

Mikhail Prokhorov is expected to meet with Carmelo on Friday or Saturday, and talks could obviously heat up fast depending upon what is said. In its latest form, the deal looks like this: "The Nets would get [Carmelo] Anthony, Chauncey Billups, Shelden Williams, Melvin Ely and Renaldo Balkman. In turn, the Nets would send Devin Harris, Derrick Favors, Troy Murphy, Ben Uzoh and four first-round picks to the Nuggets." If Melo agrees to sign an extension, this is the deal the Nuggets want to do.

Knicks owner James Dolan reportedly met with Carmelo Anthony late on Thursday in Los Angeles, and the Knicks and Nuggets are scheduled to hold a conference call on Friday afternoon.

Taking part in the conference call will be Dolan, Donnie Walsh, Nuggets owner Stan Kroenke and Nuggets GM Masai Ujiri. The four of them will reportedly attempt to get around the Knicks' hesitation to include Danilo Gallinari in a trade that would also feature Raymond Felton and Chauncey Billups, among others. According to Frank Isola of the New York Daily News, Melo is slated to meet with Nets officials if a deal with the Knicks can't be reached.

The guy that owns the nets is a russian mobster. You dont get that rich in russia without involvement with the mob. I guarantee you whatever the books say that carmelo is getting paid, he is getting double or triple that off the books and I'm not talking endorsements.
