really Lou ??? why not allow the PRO's(that have already played) to sign up to fill the spots since we are the ones supporting SBR...catering to those that can't save 15 points is a joke...

why not open it up to all SBR members , not just guys that can't save 15 points , even guys that have previously played , I'm sure it would have filled up...like I said this is a great place , but that wasn't exactly the best approach to fill the tournament...

We aren't looking to take people's spots or have just any user hop in off the street. You have to have been around enough days to get your points...Had a few extra slots open so tossed a bone out there to anyone whose reading the forum and wished they were in. We aren't too worried about how our hair looks.

it all depends on what their goal is with poker program, if its to get as many players as possible, then yes that would be the correct approach. If it's only meant to be an extra bonus for SBR Pros and non-pros with points, then it's working just as planned.

Ditto. I'm realizing now I've gotta sign up the day before if I wanna play in something the next day. Can't just come home and register for the tournament 3 hours away and expect to get in...

While I agree to some extent, I believe some things SBR does makes them look like they are giving out more freebies than they should, and not allow Non-Pros to do the things that us PROS paid to do...SBR should cater to those that support the site, by donation, not just by posting bullshit here.

But I could see that they may be wanting to "show some love" to the non pros that would like to play poker, maybe those guys place in the top 15, and think damn, I should really save up my points to play this tournament daily, and have a chance to win. Or they may just quit being pussies and ante up 200 to become a SBR pro, and play these tourneys for free.

I'm sure SBR had a reason to open it up to non Pros only, but I've been considering writing Lou an idea on how this tournament could of possibly brought up more opportunities for the SBR PROS.

sbr pros were requesting that non-pros be allowed to play cash games (not sure about tourneys) so that the tables would be more likely to fill.

At times there isn't even one sbr point cash table running which is rather surprising in my opinion given the tourneys seem rather popular.
