Very tricky situation as Drogba and Anelka have finally started to kick it in. Obviously, all three can't play so Anelka may be the odd man out. You can't pay $50 Million and then sit him on the bench, especially against Liverpool. My guess would be Torres and Drogba up front, Luiz makes his debut in the back with Terry, and Liverpool sends out Suarez and Carroll. I see goals tomorrow, yet the number says otherwise.

I'm pretty sure Chelsea puts 3 up front, so all three could play and they could sit malouda.

They will play with 3 center forwards. Basically the defenders will be kicking long balls in the box and one of the 3 will get it and score goals.

Yeah...I'm man enough to say I had this one completely wrong...just a horrible effort by Chelsea, and may be a sign of things to come with the chemistry issue. When you have too many strikers looking for their touches it creates issues. Chelsea has too many options, and not sure Ancellotti is the answer either.

Torres played like s, he needs time to really join the Chelsea team, using him in this match is a wrong decision. Ancellotti is not good enough to get to known the players well in Chelsea not likely in AC Milan where they didn't buy much players when he was there at that time.

I'm not a big fan of any Italian coach...and that includes Mancini as well. I'm not sure Torres was his idea, but he needs to deal with him now. Drogba and Anelka were starting to roll, and now they throw Torres in the mix which leaves Kalou out. With all of the Cup and Champions League games to play, having an abundance of strikers is good, but when it's just league games they have too many stars. They truly looked lost out there today, and losing to a Liverpool side that sent out a half-strength side is unspeakable, especially on their home pitch.

Liverpool definitely came out on the better end of the transfer deadline. Id def take the proven ability of suarez along with carroll's increasing potential over the past year's form of torres any day.

Chelsea got problems.

They can't play all three at the same time because all three players drift inside and there be comes no width or space for midfielders to push forward. Rumor has it that Anelka is headed to MLS

They have to change systems if this is to work.

Chelsea need to scrap the 4-3-3 and play with 4 midfielders and 2 strikers. Probably won't be out and out 4-4-2 more like a 4-1-2-1-2. The also need to get Mikel out the lineup hes anonymous.
