I was shocked when I found out. I always thought something was off with it because there is no way you can get away with the shi!t they did. After finding out it was fake, I never watched it again.

I don't think PawnStars is fake, its just a different type of Pawnshop. That is what they are known for, so people bring all their shit now when they are in Vegas. Everything is really expensive in there, my cousin wen't there when he was in Vegas.

Hardcore Pawn on TruTV I think is TruTVs only 'real' reality show. It just gets kind of annoying that the sister and brother fight so much, and the sister always bitches and bitches and bitches.

But I don't get how anybody could be shocked that Repo show was fake. Seriously, some of the shit that happens in that show. Never happens in a real repo show. Nat Geo had a Repo show on, if you ever watched that, you would know that one was so fake.

The Show 'All Worked UP' is fake too. I love the ******* process server actor who has that deep ass voice.
South Beach Tow, Lizard Lick, all the repo shows are fake. You never seen the commercial on truTV that said South Beach Repo producer was Jennifer Lopez?

The only show on TruTV that I love is Conspiracy Theroy with Jesse Ventura, but I think it was canceled two seasons in.

Watched Hardcore Pawn on Tru Tv last night.....I think some of it is staged and some of it isn't......Think some of those incidents with the ghetto people of Detroit getting belligerent on Les or Seth is real.

But yes, Operation Repo is staged. Says it is re-enactments from real cases at the beginning of the show. Still funny sometimes.

Yeah I love Hard Core Pawn, it might have one staged event in one episode per season that they really want to promote. The car that set on fie seemed too good to be true. But it was at the end of the episode, and they really didn't make a huge deal about it in the episode so who knows.

Its a 'real' pawn shop. Unlike the one on the history channel which is more of a antique shop now. I never seen anybody on there actually go in there to pawn their gold tooth so they can pay the rent. You see that on hard-core pawn.

Show actually says at the beginning that some of it is reinactments from "actual" incidents.

haha, I've actually never seen the beginning of a show. And because this was only my 3rd one, I searched on here to see what other people had to say about it. I just stumble across when channel surfing. I think they're all hitting Australia now - PawnStars, the Pickers one, Hardcore Pawn and Repo - or else I've just never noticed them before.

Now that I know it's fake, there was a part tonight that seemed a bit odd. They had this cute girl getting her car repo'd and she accused Rob of saying if she shagged him, he wouldn't repo her. But when the cops played the tape back, it was her actually offering sex instead. The way she was talking, at the time I thought she must've watched one too many pornos and been a complete airhead for saying that stuff when cameras were rolling. Now it makes sense.

I have seen maybe 5-6 episodes of that show and swear the episode you speak of was one of them.

As long as you know what it is its funny from time to time in short doses. I find myself stopping on it from time to time while TV surfing.

Absolutely fake 100%

Most states have repossession laws that state that the repo-man can NOT "breach the peace" to repossess a vehicle. Any signs of the owner coming out or a that a breach of peace will occur, requires that the repoman LEAVE, otherwise the repossession will be considered unlawful. A SHERIFF will have to get court order to come repossess the goods in that instance.

All these arguments, and yelling with the car owners and shit, taking the car real fast while the owner goes inside to "get papers", punches, fights, all bullshit.

some reality shows are 100% scripted with actors and rehersal etc. operation repo is one of them- that is proof enough that they exist.

many more are not like the ultimate fighter, pros vs joes, cops and lots of others. there would not be a thread about this is it was every reality show or "must every reality show"

It's not a coincidence that shows just happen to go off without a hitch every single time. Millions of dollars are invested into this shit and producers aren't going to allow for any risks that will tank the show

Rarely watch anything, but take PawnStars and the obvious scripted lines they have for the avg joes that likely dont own the item
