just an update, I havent deposited onto a book in almost three months, I did bet on bookmaker but it was freeplay I bought from sbr. I havent had the itch to call up bet phoenix or a bookie or anything.

How do you fill your spare time? also do you still watch a lot of sports and enjoy it? i could see that as a trigger just watching one game. these things are making it hard to stop:

      - lots of spare time
      - the minute i watch any sport now i want to bet on it

i miss the times of just being a sports fan and once in awhile wagering on a big game. Even when i truly get over this i will never be able to go back to just being a sports fan sadly.

Good going though man. I hope you stick with it.

Guy, I read your initial post and thought of myself. Don't kid yourself. The best thing to do is run far away from here. Let it be. I wish you and your family the best, but sticking around here for points, betting them will only bring you back to where you were at somepoint. Hopefully you are mature enough to understand I'm not hating on you, rather letting you know, which you already do, this isn;t good company to keep when at the flip of a switch, you could give in.

You are 100% correct, but being here is not a good thing in his case. I mean some people learn and could control themselves, but they are FEW AND FAR BETWEEN.

Its good advice rob but actually I think SBR has kept me from betting real money, I post I get my points, and a few weeks ago I ran my points up to like 3,000, I made the top winners list and I bought a freeplay on bookmaker and when it was all said and done I had no desire to make a real money deposit. a few months ago things were really bad but now me and the wife got into a nice apartment, I got my job back and I come home to my kids everynight and dont watch any sports.

Cobalt, I'm happy to hear this and want to best for you and your family. You have more control then i do. If the points do it for you, to get that rush out, it is better vs $$$$. Just be careful if and when you get the urge and before you do something, think of your family and the negative repercussions that can happen. Not trying to be a Debby Downer, just being real.

Same I miss them times as well, being able to watch sport just because I enjoyed it.

Wow... a reply. Anyways... it has gotten so bad for me I can not even watch a bulls game without betting on it (minus playoff games). When i'm watching a stream that has comments i just marvel at how most of those guys watching do not have any money on the game but are having a good time. Hopefully when I quit (not sure if you want to quit) in time I will get that feeling back of just being a sports fan.

And you got the part what to do with your spare time and the whole routine of doing this every day. I would consider any who can actually quit to have more willpower then an alcoholic or a drug addict. If i knew what i was getting myself into I would have rather been shot in the head then start betting. But I guess you can say that about all major addictions.

Gambling addictions really do not get the respect that other addictions do and going by what i have had to quit in my life I would say this is the hardest by far.

I support the bulls to but live in Australia.. Yeh no game is exciting without a wager on it, like I have no interest in watching any sport without money involved, i guess if we quit then we wouldn't be wasting our time watching it? As that how it seems for us now.

I quit for exactly 90 days which got easy after two weeks, what I did was go out NON STOP was never home which made it possible. Uni going out, beach anything but never home.. Being at home causes one to gamble.

Gambling deserves way more respect it is the hardest to quit
