They won't move it to -8.5 on Pinny. I agree with you on that. Instead they will just add vig, as you said.

But right now it is a legitimate -9. There is such a thing as a real -9 spread.

Even if the Jets get a running game going that's great I don't think they will be able to run it consistly all 4 quarters. With NE's aerial attack, Sanchez is going to have to be more of a threat at the QB position and I just don't see him being that guy, especially if the Pats are to get up early. His TD/INT ratio is 1/6 in his last 5 games while averaging just over 200 yards/game. When he has 35+ passing attempts, the Jets are 4-3. Yea it's one stat but it begins to make me think when he is forced to throw the ball, as I think the case will be at NE, the Jets are a mediocre football team. Mediocrity won't beat New England. Throw them 9-10 points...eh I still lean NE. Maybe they can get a backdoor cover, I dunno yet. Still too early to tell but my initial lean is New England.
I gotta give them props though for beating Indy. Injuries or not, the Colts are always a tough team to beat, especially in Indy.

Nervous as hell for this one because I'd be sick to my stomach if we go down to Rex Ryan and his cronies. I like the Pats to win it though, because Sanchez is unpredictable with this shoulder situation, and the Jets will not be running at Mount Wilfork like they did all day against the smaller Colts defenders.
