He's had that same look on his face since he was roaming the sidelines at Wake Forest.
No more of that talk, or I'll put the leeches on you.

its because he is clueless. Peyton tries to teach him thru the week, but he's a slow learner. See what happens when he actually tries to make a decision? Now they just have 1 challenge.
Peyton will chew his ass at halftime & take his red flags away

Rooney rule didn't have anything to do with it. Dungy anointed him succesor.

His headset is actually just a plastic toy. You will never see him talking into it.
You guys are right, only reason he got the job is because he is black.

he has no idea what he's getting into..the only reason they are in the playoffs is manning coaches the offense 100%.

Colts will never win anything with this guy at the helm. He was lucky that dumb challenge didn't come back to bite him.
Then, the TO made no sense at 30 seconds. The Jets had just gotten a first down. There was no way the Colts were getting the ball back.
Love how Michaels and Collingsworth didn't kill him for that call. If that was Rex, they would have called him an idiot.

I feel really bad for Manning & Vinatieri, that jerk cost the Colts the Superbowl last year and the playoffs this year! But the Jets got very lucky that Caldwell is such a jackass and couldn't coach his way out of a paper bag!

All kidding aside, Peyton Manning has 4 or 5 years left tops. He better get a coach and some better players to have any shot at another Super Bowl.
Unfortunately for Colts fans, they won't fire Caldwell until he has a bad season. By then, Manning will be a year or two older.

I love this guy...Not sure what he is good at, but I am sure he is good at something. And I thought he handled the playoffs last year as good or better than Dungy ever did.

why are we blaming caldwell for a 1 point loss?
if manning had gotten a first down the game would be over
if the special teams didnt give up a long run it mite have been over

this team would be carolina panther bad without manning. caldwell adds nothing. basically dungy wanted to retire so they decided to try and keep status quo by hiring a nothing coach and maintain the system that dungy installed.

He has no idea what's going on. Peyton and the other coaches run that team. He is more of a spokesman then a head coach. Just a face the media talks to during the week and after then game so the real football minds avoid distration.

True enough. If White holds on to that last 3rd-down pass (it was low but catchable) with a minute left Indy wins, and possibly covers since the Jets would use their time outs. But calling the time-out was clearly a blunder.

Al Michael & Chris Collinsworth are white, Rex Ryan is white. They are allowed to call him an idiot when he does something stupid.
Jim Caldwell is black. When he does something stupid, or is stupid they are not allowed to call him stupid because that's racist.
Tony Dungy tried to circumvent the coaching process when he was retiring. He didn't wanted to name Caldwell the coach because he's black.
Caldwell is NOT a good coach. When they went to the super bowl last year in his first year despite all the praise it was 99% Peyton Manning, and 1% Caldwell just being a hair smart enough to know to get out of the way and not ruin it.
Caldwell stands there on the sideline with the same loopy look with his plastic headset while his defense gets gashed for 6 yards at a time. The whole thing is a big joke.
