#38Generations from now....a Democrat in office who hasn't even been born yet (or cloned to be given as a child to a same sex couple who can't conceive for obvious reasons) will find themselves in a tough spot after a mistake...and will find a way to prop up Bush as a possible reason why he fukked up. It never ends....still waiting for them to blame the dead birds over Arkansas on him.Comment -

#40President Bush did more for the middle class than any president in history.
He passed all sorts of various tax cuts for those making less than $106,000 annually thereby greatly reducing their tax burden.
Liberal democrats continue to wonder why the middle class supports the republicans in far greater numbers than one might suspect.
Its because the republicans believe in rewarding work and production while the democrats believe in rewarding those that refuse to work and don't produce.
Both parties could greatly increase their overall level of support by making minor changes in their respective platforms:
The republicans need to stop looking out for the rich while the democrats need to stop handing out money hand over fist to those who don't produce for the good of the country.
The only reason why the democrats haven't put the republicans out to pasture permanently is because they continue to alienate the hard-working lower to middle classes. Individuals who work full-time strongly oppose all of the democratic party's huge give-aways to the lazy bums of society.
Welfare and extended unemployment (weeks 27-99) which are one and the same pay far better than minimum wage jobs and are an absolute slap in the face to all the hard working minimum-wage workers of the U.S. Under no circumstances, should welfare/unemployment benefits ever pay more than $290/week ($7.25/hourly minimum wage X 40 hours per week).
The next time any of you liberal democrats (who support the above mentioned social give-away programs) eat out at a McDonald's, Taco Bell, etc:
Go up to one of the minimum-wage employees (who work their asses off) and explain why you believe it is "just" that someone sitting at home collecting welfare/unemployment deserves to be compensated at a higher level than that McDonald's/Taco Bell employee.
As a conservative, I believe that the federal government should immediately seize welfare payments to all people who don't work and re-allocate those funds to enhance the standard of living of your typical low wage earner. If something along these lines was implemented, the unemployment rate would immediately fall from 10% down to below 5% within 6 months.
There are millions of people living in the U.S. who collect government assistance from the "womb to the tomb" and they breed like rats. Collecting welfare is the only thing these people know how to do and the U.S. is turning into a country resembling the movie "Idiocracy"

Yep, blame the poor people for everything. We could enhance the standard of living by not fighting wars that have been proven to be a lie. But, I assume that too obvious? Another question for you, since you seem to know so much how an economy functions. How exactly is giving the middle class a tax cut but expanding the national debt to new highs improving our standard of living? You have to realize that if our wages increase due to inflation and its not keeping up with the cost of inflation, which has happened, this results in a decrease in the standard of living. If our wages increase due to an increase in production our standard of living increases. Considering the production of the USA has been shipped out over the last 30 years, how has inflation increased our standard of living? Or do I just assume you are another person who fails to grasp economics 101?Comment -

#43The federal govt under any administration are responsible for much of the pain and suffering in the country. Obama is the same as Bush. The next pres will probably be right in line to be the next worse president ever. It is not the administrations fault. It is a big govt and bloated govt powers problem. There will always be poor administrations. It is the power that they are given that is the problem.Comment
