I hate Duke but Coach K is a beast... no doubt hell be the first male to 1000 wins...

Lets put this in perspective: Mark Few has the highest winning percentage in all of college basketball... he coaches in a league that 25+ wins in a season is pretty regular (he averages 24.25 wins a year with a record of 291-73 [79.9%]) he's 48... to catch Coach K's total of 880 he would need to maintain the average 24.25 for the next 24 years... that would put him at 72 when he gets to 880... Coach K is 63... Coach K coaches in the ACC which makes it that much more impressive... 75.9 winning percentage for Coach K..... I think Coach K could coach for at least another 10 to 15 years... that would tack on another 250-300 wins (could be many more)... The numbers speak for themselves... this record may never be broken

clc49, not only is Coach K a great coach but he is a great person. No scandels with the basketball program, players get their degrees, no thug images from the players. He gives players that don't make into the NBA or overseas basketball a chance to coach and continue in the game. And he is very involved with the community of Durham. Props to the greatest college coach ever.
