#11Investment accounts are up double digits, thanks to my money man, Pete The Greek.
Speaking of The Greek, my gambling account is in the black there as well.
However, like Texas Magnolia, I have several investments in real estate (including two homes). Michigan real estate to be specific. WAY under water there.Comment -

#16Great returns! In a time where unemployment is sky high and interest rates are near zero those 15-21% returns are super.
I booked in a strong year in stocks. But except for a small position in BAC and AMSC, I'm on the sidelines for a couple of quarters or longer. If I had new money to invest I'm not sure what I would do with it at these prices. I'd probably tuck it into some short bonds like an AT&T with a 4 year maturity paying about 3.5%. Its not much but its safe.Comment -

#18Heavily invested in SouthWest Florida real estate. What we flipped was up over 50% this year plus picked up several new long term rental holds that are capping around 20%. Not as good as last year, but had to fight harder for what we got this year. Hopefully next year is even better!Comment -

#19Had solid returns in the retirement account on small caps and common stock side.....but that 25% in Overseas/International took a minor step back. Looked liked because of Greece and Spain economic issues really spooked that sectorComment -

#26got lucky since i was holding a ton of pld bonds that i bought for 90 - they sent me a tender offer for 128 which i couldn't turn down
also i had some mi bonds at 85 that are now over 100 (bank of montreal is buying them out)
still some decent stuff in the bond market if you want to go out 10 years (ge at around 5%, ebay/wmt at 4%, etc)
kind of sad to say 4% is decent but it's better than short-medium term cds that pay 2% for 5 years

#27gaming stocks have netted me a bundle in the past few years. got lvs under $2 when they bottomed out and cashed out 60% of shares in oct for a 6 figure profit. still have to sit on my wynn options as part of deal, but when i can cash out it will be a sweet score.
401k not doing as well as others who have posted, but that is my fault. haven't been keeping a good eye on it.Comment -

#28Not even close to breaking even on what I invested in studio time/CD replication for my bands independent CD release. The concept of actually paying money for music or a CD is lost. Fuk mp3's and file sharing websites.Comment -

#30the actual returns on 401k should be generally astronomical in a good year, keep in mind it's pretax and employers generally match 3%. unfortunate side is you won't see that money (unless at a severe discount) until you're 65.Comment -
