I think its more to trap people in to taking Houston. I run Sagarins numbers everyday on the games as part of my capping this is what I had for Houston:
Rating -11
ELO -10
Predictor -12

So one would think there would be value in the Rockets from 1 point up to 3 points. What I have found so far this season is 1-3 point difference take the dog. Over a 4 point difference in the line I take the favorite.
