Big deal. Our roads are still shitty with potholes everywhere and bridges collapsing left and right. Crime is still out of control, and now the current government wants to tax the hell out of the locals. I think they forget that the vast majority of ticos only make around $400-500 a month.

The media paints Costa Rica as this perfect little environmental haven. It's far from it. Litter is out of control. Raw sewage just freely flows into the rivers and oceans (because of a lack of sewage treatment plants).

Just enjoy the tourist side of Costa Rica. That side of Costa Rica is beautiful. Once you've lived here for a few years, you see that it's no different than any other country.

Uhh, yes it does. Several hotels have been shutdown for piping their sewage directly into the ocean. Sure, most areas in San Jose have septic tanks, but not everywhere. Go up into the mountains, where the rivers start. The water is crystal clear and drinkable. By the time it hits the ocean, it's this murky brown color. Very polluted, full of trash, grey water, and yes, sewage.

Raw sewage is a great theme for this thread...and for Indy's prevent defense or kneel down defense.

Fish is right - a lot of 'colones' stayed right where they are after last night's game. And even if the Colts covered, everyone would have lost that winnings over the weekend anyway.
