#5Wow! That was moving. Most of the under 30 crowd thinks Lebron is the King when the truth is he couldn't wash MJ's socks. Jordan had a burning fire and desire in his eyes that burned from within and anybody that can't see that understand human nature. Kobe Bryant is the closest thing to Jordan ever... and I said closest, not MJ though.Comment -

#8Jordan understood the team concept which is something that maybe James will grasp in the future.Chicago was a dynasty for this reason whereas the Heat will be a whinestry until they come to grips with what it takes to win.Comment -

#9first off that MJ commercial, was made in like 2008-2009, someone mashed into LBJ's commercial... so thats boring.. if MJ really said it to and for LBJ, i would be in awe!
no doubt MJs speech there is moving, it was meant to be that. truth is, NBA has went down since he walked away from the sport and they have been looking for the next MJ since then. no one has filled his shoes, and to our knowledge, no one will fill these shoes. and that, in itself, did destroy the game. the game may never be the same without MJ. LBJ was in the right path then screwed up. he is human, but as a mature man he has to admit, its not what he thought he was signing up for.
I hope they play this in Cleveland thursday, and I hope he loses. nothing jars ambition like humiliation!Comment -

#12with lebron's physical god given ability he should be who he is in the nba and have done what he has done so far, that is simple for a person that has be given what he has been given with little real work. shaq should dunk on everyone too, big fukkkin deal. winning is something that you earn and work hard at like mj said. lebron is not a winner but a god gifted person who can physically bigger and faster than anyone else in the game he plays, he should score 30 a game and get the stats he does, it is easy for anyone like that. he is nothing anyone else given what he was given should do. winning multiple rings is the part that separates the elite people in world. the guy is nothing special at this time, sorry he just isn't.Comment -

#13Lebron tried to take a shortcut. He figured if you just put a trio of superstars together it would be instant success. Instead, he got a crash course in learning how much of a TEAM game basketball really is. Not only do you need talent from top to bottom, but you need chemistry. Lebron was on his way to possibly pulling that off with Cleveland. They were probably one head coach away from getting to the next level. Sure, his leadership skills were not superb, but remember the kid is only turning 26 in December. MJ didn't automatically win championships with Chicago. It wasn't until he was 28 years old when he pulled that feat off. Kobe was not known as the most mature guy around when he was winning championships with Shaq. I'm afraid this move to Miami, if anything, might have stagnated his growth and reputation, more than helped it.Comment -

#14please, jordan should be the last person giving anyone advice about loyalty and selflessness.
there was no one more selfish than jordan. after the bulls' first 3 titles he selfishly left the team to play baseball (the real reason being probe into his gambling) costing the bulls 2 titles. then he retired again in 1998 "for good" only to don the wizards jersey because he was selfish and thought it would help him with the front office job. his selfishness cost the bulls at least 4 more titles plus the greatest dynasty title.
and the reason jordan stayed loyal to the bulls was the great pippen. had pippen not developed into the perennial all-star, top 50 greatest of all time and hall of famer, you wouldve heard grumblings.
what did jordan ever accomplish without pippen?
mvp? 0
titles? 0
defensive player of the year? 0
nba all defense team? 0
playoff series victories? 0
all he did was shoot a lot. in fact he took more shots than kobe and people call kobe a selfish ballhog. lol
at least kobe never punched his teammates like jordan did to kerr and perdue.
the funniest is when jordan's good buddy barkley bashes lebron for leaving when he was worse. he demanded a trade out of philly when they failed to make the playoffs to chase a title with phoenix. then when he failed to win a title with phoenix he got out of there and tried to piggyback hakeem and pippen in houston which also failed miserably. and i dont recall lebron being arrested for soliciting prostitutes and spitting on little white girls.
maybe these guys should look in the mirror before they bash lebron then they may see "hypocrite" written on their foreheads.Comment -

#15Call me when Nike makes a commercial about how the King of the NBA (MJ) took a year off because of his gambling and whatever else he did that would cause a league to suspend their biggest star for a full season.
Oh wait, that's right, he was just so talented he wanted to try another sport for a year...my bad.Comment -

He has more Assist Per Game than kobe, and he never threw up junk at the end of a game, instead of passing to a open teammate like kobe has been called out on several times.
everyone is forgeting the biggest key to MJ and Kobes sucess, that LBJ has never had... A Great Coach! Phil Jackson has 11 rings! at what point do we stop saying its the players and realize this guy is the real deal! maybe the greatest coach of all time.Comment -

#20The first time Jordan retired in 93 was the same year that his father was murdered. Jordan was very close to his dad, that's where he even picked up the tongue sticking out from. His dad dream was for Jordan to play pro baseball. Jordan actually thought he had a decent chance of doing it and tried it more for the love of his dad than anything else. The ban for gambling rumors is just a stupid rumor.Comment -

#22ur ignorant! MJ has the highest PPG in NBA history and his career FG% is over 50%! Kobe, Wade, AI, Tmac, LBJ, and any other star to come behind MJ all their FG% are 45% and below.
