#38Just trying to give you some perspective. We were 7-6 those years and far from national championship talk.
I was using them as one of the lower tier SEC teams. The more talented teams probably sent a lot more.
If you can't admit that the NFL is the best judge of college talent, and they all but ignore Boise, keep playing pushovers and drinking the blue kool aid.Comment -

#39It's not a balls issue boys... here is what it comes down to plain and simple... TEAMS WILL NOT PLAY BOISE IN IDAHO... now I understand the reasoning behind teams not wanting to do so... but as Boise St. what are you supposed to do... it is customary in all college sports out of conference to do home and homes... and the problem is if a team goes to Boise and wins (doubtful)... everyone will just say Boise is what we thought they were... they lose and it RUINS there season... so in order to play a better schedule Boise would be FORCED to go play 4 ranked teams ALL on the road with no return of the favor... or no ranked teams at home... so you explain to me how that is fair Boise haters... if they do schedule 4 RANKED teams at home... they would be the ONLY team forced to play that difficult of a non-conference schedule... because EVERY other team that plays that tough of a schedule at least gets half of those ranked games on their HOME field... so to get respect from all you haters Boise would not only have to play a comparable schedule to the BIG BOYS... they would have to play BAR NONE the MOST difficult schedule in all of college football... Again not saying teams should play Boise as it a lose lose for them... but what the HELL is Boise supposed to do... screwed if they do... screwed if they don't... and things won't change...
Oh and btw... Boise could beat Oregon and Auburn on a neutral field... but I am not one of those people that thinks they would definitely win... I say against Oregon they win 45% of the time... against Auburn its a 50-50 game... I just think it's messed up how they keep on getting passed by teams when all they do is WIN against the best schedule other teams permit them to make...Comment -

#40There's a reason they're getting passed up...because when you crunch the numbers their opponents suck ass...has nothing to do with Idaho, stadium, or any other item.Comment -

#41at this point i think will just agree to disagree. I understand where youre coming from but vtech was the only rank team to agree to play home and home with them this year. I think they should play more competition yes, but the 93 fsu team you mention how many of those were on the road? Probably half right? I dont care what college football program you are if you have to play 5 to 6 solid opponents on the road youre going to lose once. Even auburn and oregon havent had to play that many on the road. I wish it was just a playoff and then we would never have this debate lol but its never going to happen so hopefully they just wont have to play tcu because honestly thats the part that annoys me the most. Two small schools have a good year so they stick them against each other year in and year out.
FSU's stadium holds 80,000. I think that makes it easier to attract opposing teams, even though they had to go on the road in the early years.
Do you realize that the big schools have invested years of sweat equity to build their programs. Most big boy schools football program pays for the other sports. Why should BSU take a shortcut and not pay their dues? Why should they get in the game in the 11th hour and expect to have an even playing field? Their a bunch of frontrunners. Get off the pot and gain respect and quit whining like bitches.Comment -

#45Are you kidding me? How would them playing 4 quality OOC game make it the most difficult schedule in CFB? You do know that their conference opponents are the cupcakes that the big boys beat up on. So if most of your games are against cupcakes, you need to go out and play at least 4 tough teams. Look at Auburn's schedule and the murderers row they had to go through. Boise will never have to do that because their conference sucks. Step the fuk up and play 3 or 4 tough BCS teams. When the toughest team on your schedule is overrated VaTech your a fraud.Comment -

#46BTW... Auburn has beaten South Carolina... Arkansas... LSU... and Alabama... that is only 4 ranked teams...
other than them Kentucky is decent... Arkansas isn't that great either...
they have also played this year Arkansas St., Louisana, Monroe and Chatanooga.
Oh and what ranked teams have they played on the road... Alabama... oh yea that was today... and that's it...
In fact at the end of today Boise St. will have just as many ROAD wins against ranked teams as Auburn... and only 1 less win against ranked teams overall...Comment -

Your also conveniently leaving the 25th ranked Miss St team off your list that Auburn played on the road and a decent Clemson team. And they play another ranked team again next week in SEC Championship in South Carolina while Boise plays 4-7 Utah State.
Boise just doesn't deserve it over Auburn or Oregon. Period. Hopefully Boise gets a AQ matchup in a BCS bowl if they can hold off Nevada.Last edited by KingJIM; 11-27-10, 01:05 AM.Comment -

#59If you do some research into Nevada's RPI...which is calculated by opponents, opponents opponents, records, etc.:
39 Nevada 0.543 (9-1)
They're tucked in behind Air Force, Texas Tech, West Virginia, and Baylor....so they're not too badComment -
